So your problem is i called an umpire a muppet or was it my opinion that upset you so much? I couldn't tell by your in depth reply, but at least you used the reply button, so i knew you were talking to me.
mate, if you think I'm using the reply button every time I reply to someone you're on crack - most replies sit directly under the post they are replying to - unless the dreaded post-splitter strikes - it's mostly unnecessary, tedious and spoils my interface aesthetic...............make it your own.........

Why do people like you only show up after a loss, to two top 4 sides, both flag contenders, banging on about what we don't do rather than the progress of this rebuild

I really can't wait for when we are contender, people like you will disappear into the mist

Because Arrow, I’m not gonna go out of my way to congratulate or heap lots of praise on a team/coach for doing the minimum that any team should do in any competition that is as even as the AFL, which is win a handful of games per year.

When we are a ‘contender’ then I’ll gladly take more time come on here after wins and congratulate and heap praise on the players and team/coach because then they would have earned it, but right now they have done just the minimum anyone would expect of their AFL team so they don’t deserve what you ask just yet.

Just goes to show just how much this current version of the club has broken out supporter base expectations that supporters like you can try and make out that supporters like me are the villains and not the ‘AFL cailber’ players or coaches that make such stupid decisions in a course of a game that it would make Benny hill embarrassed to watch it.

Tiges just simply too polished, too good for us at this stage. At.This.Stage...
Anyone else notice Setters goes to ground too easily? Almost giving himself an easy out of a contest.
Needs to build a core strength and keep his feet, like the great players seem to do.

How very noble of you.
The question is
Is that a fairweather supporter syndrome or just feeding off failure.
Either way its just wrong.

anyone?

Vlaustin was on McGovern, just exploited his lack of match fitness.

Might want to factor in the wet weather a bit there, but we were winning the contested football battle, but were -40 on uncontested ball.

I'm assuming we had such a high number of contested possessions simply because we had a crap load of handling errors, but that being said, that's not all on the outside mids. On a day like that, we had to play to our strengths and really grind the contests and deliver to our outside specialists.

Instead, we try to beat Richmond at their own game with a slower, taller and less experienced team. What a shock that it didn't work out...
No go back and watch, Vlaustin plays the extra in defence and even the so called experts point this out.

A very frustrating day at the office, came up against another very good side today and although we played very poorly in patches and played into the Tigers hands at stages, i was happy with the way we kept fighting and showed some positive signs, heading in to next week.

I thought Jones played a great game today and Plowman played well but was really disappointed in our smalls and our forward 50 entries for most of the game, we came up against a better side and it showed, but in the 3rd and 4th quarter when we brought a lot more pressure, we at least gave ourselves a chance to get back in the game.

Im a big fan of Simmo and he has always been prone to a mistake or two or some errant kicking, well you get that win you play in defence in the worst side this decade and you take the game on, he definitely has more footy in him and i hope he goes on, the trolling on here this afternoon is strange.

Having 7-8 players get the footy 10 or less times makes it hard to win a game of football, especially if those guys aren't hitting the scoreboard, we are desperate for some better small forward options and hopefully we can acquire some for next season.

Next week is huge for us and for David Teague, we have been solid the last two matches against fantastic opposition and next week is the game to get some reward for those efforts and hopefully lock Teague in to a coaching position, a win would get us to 15th which should be a small win and goal, i feel we should beat the Saints and it would be a fantastic way to cap off a good recovery by the club (assuming we don't win in Geelong)

You should give Teague's press conference a watch. He mentions that the setup changed successfully at half time, but the point was that the side went into the game wanting to play on their own terms before making changes out of necessity. This is the exact opposite scenario to what you seem to describe.

Teagues ‘own terms’ just so happened to help the Tigers strength.

Like I said in another post, what’s the point of rolling up an extra to the contests if the players are just going to hack it out blindly thus bringing into play the loose tigers defender further up the field?

Having the extra at stoppages can be useful when you want to use him to be able to get the ball clear from congestion through quick handballs, but in wet weather with a slippery ball that tactic is useless and just hacking t forward blindly actually plays into the hands of the tiers biggest strength, their loose behind the play.

Like I said, it should have been a non starter to begin with because playing this tactic on ‘our terms’ in wet weather is just playing into the Tigers bigger strength.

No I was home sick and watched it on the dreaded tele...with the sound off. But I have a note from mum.
Its still Bull.
Enough said. If having Vlastin loose wasnt an issue why change? Why do it after being 5 down in thise conditions? Teague has shiwn a willibgness to adjust during games. He did today but 2 late and it lost the game.

No it didnt lose the game. Missing our chances to goal and a few turnover kicks to give them very soft goals is why we lost. Same as last week.

it's like reading someone who has taken a grownup novel and turned it into a little golden book.................

Cripps to me, is clearly struggling with an injury.
Is Harry injured or just struggling in Charlies absence
Is Fish ok, his last 5 or so games have been way down.
I doubt Lang will be offered another contract
What is about Teagues coaching that seems to give up a lead before we start cracking in (coincidence or something else)

I'm not sure the blind hacking was part of the plan...

Either way its just wrong.

If the players are going to be ‘fairweather’ players and choose when they want to show up to a match (today is was at half time), why then should it be wrong for any supporter to also be fairweather and choose when to support their team?

Have the players/coach improved over the course of the last 9 weeks or so, YES, but their improvement only brings them back to the expectations we had of them at the start of the year, so no i won’t go out of my way to praise them or congratulate them for doing the basic requirement that they should have been doing all along.

Cripps has been playing through injury for weeks, still playing well.

Harry was almost best on last week, and has played well most games this year. Considering Charlie has barely played this year I’m not sure what your point is. (It seems people also forget that this is his first full season of AFL, as a key forward I might add)

Fish has been sick and probably struggling a bit.

You thrive on whinging if your expectations are not met.

Surely you have witnessed more advanced/mature sides struggling of late, Essendon, North to name a couple, yet our losses over the last 2 weeks are not as diabolical as those performances

Told you more than 3 months ago that we were well ahead of Sants and Lions rebuilds, which we are, yet you think somehow we should more advanced, which is nigh on improbable/impossible in an AFL landscape

Until we hit that critical maturity, we will have days like this against top sides and even when we are on the verge or in the 8, unexpected performances/periods like this will still occur, just not as frequent

So make a choice, enjoy the progress over the extended period of our rebuild, or bemoan back to back losses against to flag contenders, as it will mean little, to where we ultimately end up

I’m on my last chance, I’ve let you get me suspended w bunch of times but I won’t let you bait me into getting my account suspended for good this time.

So go ahead and stalk my posts, I’m ignoring you like I should have from the start.
