And how great is Jerry Lewis in that? Love seeing him in a dramatic role.
Rolling Stone on Lewis after his death..."The King of Comedywill be remembered as one of his greatest achievements – a dark look at showbiz dreams guided by a performer who understood the creepy underside of celebrity all too well."

Yeah. I reckon old Jerry would have met few "Rupert Pupkin" types over the years.

Great films. I would add Raging Bull, The Godfather II, The Deer Hunter, The King Of Comedy, Heat, Casino, Mean Streets, Cape Fear and Midnight Run as must see De Niro performances.
The Deer Hunter is an amazing film.

I’ll stand by my comment. 70s has the best tunes. Has way more balls too. It’s propper heavy with its heavy complex bass sound and spine tingling melodies/compositions. Great production. I laugh at metal honestly lol. 80s, 90s, 00s. Pooooooooo. Stinks lol. Tool with that awful scream vocals that belong in Creed and the boring try hard Middle Eastern style that belongs in Evenescence :D. If there’s a good song by a metal band then it’s not a metal song
Really? Wow. Can I have an example please?

Really ? Outstanding if true.
Definitely true.

The film is called The Irishman and the cast also includes Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel (and a ton of others). It's due for release in the states at the end of September.

If you dont like any Black Sabbath from the 70's, then there's no accounting for taste. they invented the genre by adding......wait for it 'melody' and inspiration from classical music to rock and blues.
You just stick to your richard clayderman and acker bilk albums grandad

Just couldn’t pronounce Hereford correctly in Ronin. Astounding.
Haha..i was just thinking about that the other day. God that's a great film. Also its one film or series that sean bean survived....historic

I agree...to a point. I think that Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple were just as influential in Metal's evolution. Not to mention a handful of notable, earlier acts.

No I am not a fan of the Godfather movie, had a watch of part 2/3 a while back and thought gee they look dated!
Prefer to watch The Sopranos...
Each to our own. I think the first two are arguably the two finest films ever made.

The third is a good film, but a massive drop off from the first two.

Yep to the evolution part but the bands themselves never identified as heavy metal whereas sabbath took the idea and ran with it and became the godfathers of heavy metal

I think the Zeppelin guys have often downplayed their role in the genre's evolution too, even though their influence is undeniable.

He and Pacino rumoured to be in the next Scorsese film.
It’s not a rumour it’s true, it’s in here somewhere, Joe Pesci is in it as well.
The Irishman, it’s actually a Netflix movie
