To be fair we link pressure on. We don't take the game on enough and Laird usually has very little time.
He is a hack forward specialist this year. Clanger King. I blame him solely for my Supercoach debacle.

Hopefully the coaches actually look at the opposition this week and realise Talia, Hartigan, and Otten is completely unnecessary, the Pies only have genuine tall up forward now in Jordan Roughead who moved there after Cox went out.
Otten comes out for ROB, who goes fwd/shares ruck with Sauce, since we know he isn't getting dropped for his 200th, trying to combat Grundy and stretch their backline, as well as Keath in for Hartigan.
As for other changes, I don't have a clue, too many to make in 1 week.

Problem with league tackles is most of them are made from the waist down.. they can tackle as low as the ankles..
We seem to stick a fair few waist height tackles in recent times but unfortunately it means we arent locking up the arm(s) so the opponent simply hands off to a team mate..
Which wouldnt matter so much if we had guys willing to close in on the opposition bloke that receives the ball... but we dont.. we have blokes like atkins, lynch, douglas etc that seem to think standing back watching is a better option.
I watched the replay today.. go back and watch it... so many times some of our players simply give up on the contest and stand back and watch thinking the tackle has been layed by one of their team mates, “the hard works been done”, so they stop and watch on.. and then get caught flatfooted and left behind watching another opponent run off when the ball ends up unexpectedly coming out because the original tackle wasnt effective...

Why is Douglas and Mackay still on our list? Don needs to run Smiith, Brown, Gallucci and Jones through the midfield. Feel Doedee eventually can play mid as well. All have pace.
