Go back to before his groin injury, and then look at his entire career to that point. If you were only listening to Jason Dunstall on the subject, I could understand, but he was entirely wrong and based his opinion on his own technique, with an entirely different body shape.

A fit McKay has a textbook set shot action, albeit one that doesn't travel beyond 50m.
