AFC probably think they’re a chance to play finals, and the selections reflect this.

Also, I’m thinking they want to give time to those going to leave (Greenwood, Keath) so they can push their value up during the trade period,
E.g. they are required players (best 22), so better cough up during the trade!

Shits still ****ed though.

Burton said today the theme of the week at the club has been "winning and us getting on the scoreboard".

The 4 lowest scores by the AFC since moving to the Adelaide Oval have been this year
5.14 44 vs Port, 6.12 48 vs Coll, 7.9 51 vs Freo, 7.13 55 vs Haw

Maybe a focus on winning and getting on the scoreboard should have been more of a focus all year, not just in the last round.

The ineptitude of this football department is mind boggling.

But we won one of those games, so everything is fine!

Disagree. The selections to me seem as though match committee knows we will lose and they decided to gift farewell games for Douglas and likely Jacob's. This is definitely not our best team. If Don thinks it is he is the problem and needs to be terminated season's end.

Last week would have been the fairwell, considering it was a home game.

Here is a fun stat.

After Round 14 both Crows and Lions were 8-5

The Lions went on to go 8-0 and we went 2-6. The Lions after systematically playing youth and getting rid of Brett Burton are going to contend for a flag with Cameron and Lyons in great form.

The Crows are heading for 10-12 and contending for worst list management in the modern era without Cameron (Who we couldn't keep despite being contracted) and Lyons (Who we didn't want, even though he wanted to stay). Fantastic.

I’ve got to be honest. Those stats aren’t much fun at all.

So they've realised we need to go through a transition period with that squad...... but nah let's not get a few games into a few more kids.

We've played Big Ezy, Jones, Stengle and Fog..... for a few games here and there. Neddy probably would've played a couple token games too, and Doedee and Murphy are technically "kids".

But that's it.

If we had have played the first 4 guys 10-12 each you could claim it as a success, but we didn't.

Only 1 ‘kid’ can be in the 22 at any time. Pyke is a massive problem. He must go.

Took till the final round to boot 2 non performers...yet we brought another one in (Knight).

But ROB for Jacobs is seriously the final straw of a disgusting season from the whole footy dept who have been nothing short of inept.

Hope we get smashed by 100+

As I said during the preseason, Sauce was not subject to being dropped in 2019. Only serious injury would force him out. Next year, after we extend the self centred ass, he will be subject to form, but not in 2019.

Will be really interested to see if O'Brien plays today. I actually hope he doesn't & he's being managed for an unknown injury as Strachany has been in the best the last few weeks as #1 ruck in the twos.

How many of you go to the AGM and raise these points?

That is the play to air those grievances and demand an answer from Chapman or Fagan.

Nope I’m dead to them

Knowing Fraudan, he’ll have all the negative emails filed away and as soon as we win 2 straight he’ll fire off his reply. Maybe before round 1 2020 when the ladder is in alphabetical order. Seriously though, what can they say. Wh3n we were in obvious diabolical form every club mouthpiece stated we were still in the 8. They’ve got nothing now, which is why Burton is talking about 3-4 years down the track whilst sitting on a selection committee that clearly ignores round 1 next year. They’re completely ****ed and it’ll only get worse as they make no changes so they can prove the agitators wrong.

Selection issues are not a matter for the AGM

No but clarification on why they decided to continue to play the older guys instead of blooding kids would be.

How can they justify the results this year and still play the same older guys knowing the season was shot would be.

What’s the background to this?

I do not remember the company name but the organisation linked to the Crows review, the main person running the review was a director at a company at the same time Rob Chapman was also a director there.

All allegedly
