A Demons poster citing recent finals successes as a troll....Now I've seen everything.
Dees record v Hawthorn in that time: 1-0. We ended your finals campaign last year and you couldn’t even make up for it this year by beating us which even Essendon achieved.

I’m sure he is a great bloke, doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get scrutinized for belting up pensioners. Most people who get bad press deserve it or bring it upon themselves. There’s 700+ footballers and only a small amount get bad press, so don’t fu** up and you won’t be singled out
45 year old pensioner?

Ah yes, the Demons glorious finals campaign of 2018. Long may it be remembered!

... then what happened?

And yet we're still more of a destination club than Hawthorn despite having the worst coach in the league :S

A fat key defender and paying a spud backup ruckmen 400k a year isn’t exactly good recruiting. If Melbourne were wise they could’ve had Isaac Smith instead of Preuss!

Are you though? Last season you managed to turn an injured full-forward into an older, injured, fat full-back.

This year you're looking to solve your outside run and poor distribution with one of the worst kicks in the league ... who no one is really queuing up for.

But yes, Melbourne is a destination club

At least we don’t sabotage our own cause by freeing up GWS’ Scully cap space so they could sign Coniglio. No one in demand goes to Hawthorn unfortunately. We’ll console ourselves with a fully fit Lever and May next year.

Kelly/cogs/cameron all on a mil Greene on 900k and Whitfield coming out of contract how can they all fit
Kelly under a mill and cogs just under.

Cameron on a massively back ended contract which finished next year.

Greene is on 850 from what I remember.

Of course none of ours are premiership winners so the question is after you won the flag how the hell did you get Lynch?

You have Dusty, Lynch, Riewoldt, Cotchin, Rance, all on 700K-1 MIL. Not sure I see much difference
Cotchin/jack/rance all took pay cuts. Lynch deal is very back ended first two years he’s not earning much

Still got Caddy, Prestia, Nank, Houli, Grimes, Astbury, Edwards, Ellis, Lambert and Vlaustin, who I would imagine would all be on 300-400K+. GWS just have a massive amount of young players/rookie contracts and the rest of their players on decent money. Which is why players like Caldwell, Bonar, Hately etc. will all be pushed out to other clubs and new first round draft picks will arrive, to keep them on rookie salaries and not break the cap. Imagine that has actually been planned for quite a while.

Fair enough but all the talk has been how they have had to overpay youngsters to stay and there cap is tight will be interesting to see. We seem to have some wriggle room as well since we have been linked to crouch bros. At the end of the day media guessing game

We got rid of a ton of talent so we could afford the contracts this year.

Patton himself is on a big contract this year and next and will be moved on.

Shaw(Possible), Mumford, Lids, Simspon are all retiring.

And Tomlinson be going as well.

We have a plan of attack for Whitfield and Jezzas contracts for next year. Have no fear

Both seemed overjoyed with Cogs re-signing in the announcement video so..
