Only problem is he seems to coast a bit - he looked almost disinterested in the first half - which is staggering seeing it was a final. When he decides to turn it on though he is very impressive.

Except serviceable VFL players don't have his class. Not saying he should be playing or anything, but a good preseason and he could be very handy next year.

I disagree as there are at least a dozen VFL players who are very classy.
Werribee has three , Coburg two ,Williamstown at least three and Port three. Then go through the AFL clubs and I reckon you would find a handful or two in them. The problem is taking the next step to AFL is where the problem arises. ATM with Pickett we haven’t seen enough of him and I don’t really know where he is fitness wise.
I’ve put him on the back burner until a month into next year.

I think it’s unlikely he’ll play this year in my own mind, but there is just something about the way he was recruited and the different roles he’s played that says to me they are seriously looking at him too.
