Where is all the sooking and crying about "oh grimes was holding Charlie". The ultimate professional Grimes ignored all the sooking from Fagan & supporters all fortnight and absolutely tore poor little Charlie a new one.....again.

This game went just how I thought it would. Brisbane went hard at it early, really threw out all their cards on the table in that first quarter. Everything relied on if they could score, and unfortunately for them they couldn't. Brisbane score a big total in that first quarter - they get the momentum and possibly win, as Richmond is force into a panic/comeback/risky play and turn over fest sort of game plan. They didn't score, which means Richmond could chip away slowly, creeping back, taking advantage of the Lions most likely being physically stuffed after exerting themselves in the 1st. Tables then turned, and The Lions were forced into the risky play/turn over situation in an attempt to come back.

They'll learn from the experience. Lions fans should still be very proud regardless of what happens next week. To go from bottom dwellers for years to number 2 on the ladder is a remarkable achievement. They can only get stronger too.. Young side, and now they have become a desirable destination.. who knows what other free agents and trades they will pick up over the next few years.

I thought they sustained it pretty well. They were a bit sloppy defending deep in the forward 50 but otherwise they were pretty good, Richmond put in the 2nd most accurate shooting for goal display in a final.

Handball in the clinches is one of Richmond’s strengths. First half it was off due to Brisbane’s pressure. Second half we got much cleaner takeaways, then the ground opened up in front of us.

Lions had 65 inside 50s vs 54
won the clearances 44 vs 39
won contested possession 157 vs 144
won marks inside 50 13 vs 7
had 25 scoring shots vs 22

What hurt them was the lack of scoreboard pressure.

Don’t think I’ve seen a greater losing margin given the statistical domination. The biggest example of costly inaccuracy you’ve ever seen.

Richmond will not win this. If it were not for 'luck' they would be 0 goals to brisbanes 3
Richmond getting demolished, scoreboard just a formality now
Richmond should have saved themselves the pain and finished ninth like they used to.
Richmond shouldnt even be in this, they've been smashed
Richmond s**tting the bed in their second consecutive final.

Delicious.

Why do idiots shoot their load so early its embarrassing

Aside from accuracy the Tigers were strolling into forward 50, while the Lions entries required so much pressure, so much effort, it was clear as day. That was telling. Richmond just much better at shutting the oppo down.

Best defender in the comp. Even better than the fat bloke in your backline.

Deal with it
Not hard to look good when you are allowed to hold, scrag and flop like a dog, with no consequence.

At least McGovern has some stones to him and isn't a gutless sooking flog.
