He does look great ....spunk, speed, and footy nouse .....lets hope he can add some muscleYou reckon "the Phantom" has been reading my Big Footy posts over the last 18 months re Neddy Wayno??
Didn't have much trouble sitting 120kg Goliath Bauldy on his ass in the goal square on the weekend...result - goal.He does look great ....spunk, speed, and footy nouse .....lets hope he can add some muscle
My point exactly ....Ned can do it, at his size ....but Hartigan, who has the physique, does not have the strength you'd expectDidn't have much trouble sitting 120kg Goliath Bauldy on his ass in the goal square on the weekend...result - goal.
We might get to have some trade action if Jacobs ends up going to GWS if GWS ends up letting Tomlinson go as a free agent - they wouldn't want getting Sauce to dilute their compo for Tomlinson. It depends on the $$ and length of contract they're offered by their new clubs. Jacobs should be worth the most, possibly the only one on the list worthy of compensation. I'd say we'll get band 3 or 4 compensation for him - that's 2nd round, or end of 2nd round. CEY and Hunter have no value at all, as far as FA compensation is concerned. It's hard to see Mackay being picked up by another club, but if he did we'd probably be looking at Band 5 - a 3rd round pick.
The word you're looking for is "willpower"...My point exactly ....Ned can do it, at his size ....but Hartigan, who has the physique, does not have the strength you'd expect
Not sure about moving the Bigfooty character assassination crosshairs onto HartiganThe word you're looking for is "willpower"...
OK lack of aggression for a big unit....and he's got some mates in our team currently.....Not sure about moving the Bigfooty character assassination crosshairs onto Hartigan
He was a great defender on mid size types without being big enough for the behemoths, which made him a good combo with Talia
Now his pace and power aren’t the same due to age, and he doesn’t have the footy IQ of Talia, so he isn’t the same player anymore. Surgery on both knees at the start of this year wouldn’t have helped.
Bit weird to see that now being explained as a lack of “willpower”
He's no different from any other uncontracted player.Buy if CEY's Rookie Contract has finished .....doesn't he become available automatically to another club ?
-He does look great ....spunk, speed, and footy nouse .....lets hope he can add some muscle
Think Jacobs would be a 3rd round pick at best too. What do we think our four free agents are worth in terms of compo?
Pretty slim pickings I would think.
Jacobs - 2nd round pick (restricted free agent; 3-time AA squad member)
CEY - 3rd round pick or zilch
Mackay - 3rd round pick or zilch
Hunter - zilch

Jenkins was a rookie at Essendon when they traded him to us.CEY is a Rookie ....no compensation if he leaves ....I'm not even sure you can trade a Rookie ? ..doubt it
He does look great ....spunk, speed, and footy nouse .....lets hope he can add some muscle
Nope Harto is one of the few you can rely on to whack somebody in the neck just hard enough to annoy them but not hard enough to get suspended, and always plays hard.OK lack of aggression for a big unit....and he's got some mates in our team currently.....
I’ve been one who without watching McHenry play didn’t understand why a player with his description (he runs and tackles lots and has personality) goes so early in a super draftWalker's high praise for young Crow

Walker's high praise for young Crow
Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has heaped praise on young Crow Ned McHenry after the SANFL side’s 62-point win over Norwood on Sunday.
Speaking on Triple M’s Roo & Ditts, Walker labelled McHenry a future great of the Club.
“How good is he?” Walker said.
“He’s going to play a lot of games for our footy club and we saw what he could do on the weekend.
“He’s going to be a star.”
Adelaide’s State League side stormed into a preliminary final against Glenelg, thanks in part to McHenry’s four goals.

After watching him play a few times think his elite trait is how composed he is with the ball in heavy traffic. The competitiveness etc helps but you need a weapon and I think that’s his.
Must play 22 games at half forward next year, and into the midfield in the next couple of years.
Given Tex's recent statement about "judge us on our response this week" ...which he repeated over a few weeks ...his is hardly a credible statementWalker's high praise for young Crow

Except Tex kicked 5 goals following that statement he made. He held up his end, only so much he can do.Given Tex's recent statement about "judge us on our response this week" ...which he repeated over a few weeks ...his is hardly a credible statement
But he spoke as Captain of his team ....not as simply a player ...big difference, his teammates didn't follow himExcept Tex kicked 5 goals following that statement he made. He held up his end, only so much he can do.

If he is inconsistent then, by definition, he can not be crap all the time!
Not true - there are varying degrees of crappiness, and different ways in which he can suck each and every game.If he is inconsistent then, by definition, he can not be crap all the time!
