Is Zac Langdon a dark horse to come in for lid's spot? We have a recent history of backing guys in after an injury layoff... Would give tackling pressure and goal threat in that high have forward role and could also go defensive if required

Big risk tho

1. We won down at Geelong, magnificently, the only team to do it this year.
2. We won @MCG against Melbourne after everyone said we were MCG bunnies.
3. We won in Hobart against North on the rise and they threw everything at us.
4. We held off Port in Adelaide.
5, The Gabba should not hold any fears for us, Giants know how to win away against partisan crowds.

We have hunger.

We also have our stars back, besides Cogs and Ward, and they are match fit.

Last week's win while tough wouldn't of been emotionally or physically draining so they will be up and about.

Complete faith we can take them.

I actually thought Finlayson and Himma did a terrific job providing a chop out with the former even kicking a goal from the ruck!!

Its not just about how well the Giants played on the weekend but the way the Giants played.

The Bulldogs where blockaded which is what Brisbane need to face and Cameron, Finlayson can come up the ground where their superior mobility can exploit opposition defences clogging up the ground providing the space for GWS to slingshot the ball forward through the goals to victory.

Giants played a lot smarter game to on the weekend I thought especially in terms of the shape of the players over the ground as well!!

De Boer would almost definitely be going to Neale.

Reid is an interesting one. Brisbane doesn't really have an obvious matchup unless he shifts to the forward line and plays on Rich. Defensively he could go on Rayner or McCarthy but both of those guys are cream rather than an important link.

Maybe Zorko?

Maybe Zorko?
Throughout the year the taggers have been pretty consistently going to Neale. A case could be made for Zorko but in terms of impact at stoppage after stoppage, Neale would be the guy.

go for neale if he decides to go nuts it means you've got a one man extractor team out of congestion.

Fair to say Zorko is the more damaging of the two though? Ie goal kicker etc.

Reckon if he gets shut down and Shaw/Reid break even with Cameron it's har to see the Lions kicking a big score?

Teams did that at the start of the year neale had days out reminded me of 2015 when teams put all their effort into mundy and fyfe and neale was putting up performances like 43 touches and two goals in a derby.

Nah.

Goals kicked when Brisbane beat GWS earlier this year:
  • Cameron: 2.
  • Zorko: 0.
They still got damn close to 100.

Agree, but nice thought.
Has he had enough match fitness/ game time?
He’d be a little bit of an unknown factor.

I think in an ideal world we have Deboer go to Neale and reid go to zorko

This really depends on whether or not we can hold Cameron in the forward line. Last game he jumped shaw and reid had to move to him.

So the ideal defensive match ups really depend on Cameron being held. Who do we trust with that? Does shaw get another go? Kennedy? Do we go taller and maybe Corr?
