With a senior assistant. He would be my pick too. But doubt he leaves Victoria.
Who is our thoughts as next coach? Please don't let them look at Voss, Bassett or Scott. There is Caracella but apparently he's not desperate to be a senior coach, hardly inspirational stuff.

Brad Scott?? Why?
He did nothing in 10 years at the Kangas.
I'd rather take a punt on Voss than anyone on that list above. 2nd times a charm.

One thing that concerns me with Mitchell is a) will he be tough enough or more a mate to the players and b) does he have enough experience because he recently said he wouldn't be confident fronting a panel to say he's their man for the top job

The boys club Crows headed by Burton would do one of the following:
- Promote Scott Camporeale to head coach
- Have Burton as both head coach and head of football
- Hire Brad Scott
- Hire Ross Lyon
- Hire another ex-Crow player like Rutten, Van Berlo or Goodwin
All of those options must IMMEDIATELY be discounted

I meant don't look at Brad Scott, stay well clear of him and Voss doesn't excite me either think he'd be a downgrade.

Caracella is my number one choice tbh but will he want to come to Adelaide and does he even want to be a senior coach.

Hopefully, they will offer some extra cash to the Chief to sit on the panel
I reckon we’ll opt for a younger type, before head hunting someone like Ross for a Head of Football role
I feel like someone like Scott Burns will get some consideration, maybe Robert Harvey too. Mitchell/Caracella/Longmuir would be great. Rutten as well, if he’s not too much of a mate with the higher ups

Rutten has a good vibe about him, provided we clean out burton and Campo.

They need a real Alpha, had enough of followers like Sando & Don were, someone who will grab the horns, tells Campo that this team isn’t his play-thing and to piss off also someone who can be a bit of a prick to the players & forthright not defensive with the media. Walsh was the closest we’ve had in that mould in the last 20 years.
Only Alpha’s I see available that fit in with a rebuild/reset are Brad Scott, Sam Mitchell and Bassett

Honestly wouldn't mind Brad - IMO he had a tendency to make North Melbourne overachieve (he got them to a PF in 2014 and 2015).
We have a tendency to perennially underachieve. Maybe he could change that.
So basically another Phil Walsh
