Cameron is miles better than Lynch. Pretty weird. Slightly concerned we can’t convince a young talented ruckman that they are better off with us. Massive opportunity here...Collingwood, not so much.

Must be a long term "backup" contract being offered, we probably were only offering 1-2 years. Nothing else would really make sense.

I don't understand why you would want to go to a club that has an all Australian ruckman who is only 25yo....it's like Preuss landing at the Demons.
Doesn't make any sense to me why you'd just want to be a back up ruckman, when you have the opportunity go to a club that has their leading ruckman in their twilight.

Not sure why we are looking for a ruckman tbh, Phillips is more than handy enough to cover Kruze and TDK has shown he will be the number 1 ruckman for us in a couple of years. I know Phillips (big red as I call him) has had injury concerns but if we can get him to stay fit it would be perfect. Same with Kruze though I guess haha
Maybe we simply don't need the 'leverage' any more.

Keep Phillips as back-up, add another year of proper development into TDK and being well, we'll be in a good position. Never understood the love for Cameron

I think the idea of Cameron is sound, i.e. a backup ruckman in his mid-20s who has a better than average chance of being fit when you need him. Don't know enough about Cameron the player to have much of an opinion about him specifically. If there's some other ruckman out there who fits the profile then I'd expect the club to look at it, but if not then I guess we'll have to make do with Phillips and/or Jacobs as our backup options until TDK develops.
Isn't Jacobs more like to end up at the Giants?
