Poor effort and exactly what our season has been, any one stands up to us we fall away very meekly.
Front runners of the highest order we are, any resistance to our play we just fold.
Not a surprise result, tough play finals and we are not a tough group.
Just the way it is.

Lol. Lol lol lol.

Can’t live off 2018 forever but that showed how resilient this group is.

Adelaide game this year. First Hawks game. Five goals down at the G and we fought back to take the lead tonight.

Ran out of legs and gave ourselves too big of a hole to climb out of, but lol at attacking the resilience of this group.

Just a super inconsistent season. Played maybe 2 or 3 games with a full 4 quarter effort. As the OP said, best was untouchable but we did not put it together enough, maybe hunger maybe resting thinking someone else will do it for us again.

How did they run out of legs? 8 day break?
Don’t make excuses. They got beaten in heart it’s that simple.

Negatives: I think we're on the verge of falling out of the top 8, need a mini rebuild.

Why’s that?

Kennedy phased out. Hurn getting up there but not finishing. Masten likely gone. Who else is on the way out?

Ryan, Allen, Cameron, Petch, Rotham on the way up.

Waterman, Brander intriguing. Maybe Kelly on the way.

Not sure where the turnover is coming from, full list is basically in their prime.

Weird season. Our best was better than anyone’s but we couldn’t sustain it for long enough.

Was very confident we could get over the Cats early in the week, but the Willie ordeal knocked everyone for six imo. Never saw them winning after that was announced, such a head * for everyone.

Hit the preseason guys, you’ve got a another premiership in you. Another even year premiership to complete the set. Let’s go.

What an absolute waste of a season and a terrible finish. Spent the year frittering away games that we coulda/ shoulda/ woulda won. Cost us a position in the Top 4 and a chance at the club's first back-to-back.

Our final game of the year echoed our season - fall asleep in patches, wake up for a quarter and a half and play champagne footy, nod off again and waste the lead we built. Against the sh*t teams we were good enough to win by 4 goals. Against the good teams (and even the mediocre ones at times) we got rolled.

And worst of all, the small accomplishments of the year are overshadowed by an Eagle once again associated with drugs. After everything we went through to bottom out, clean up the club culture, rebuild and market ourselves as a family destination, 10+ years worth of hard work have been undone by a single dumbsh*t player in the course of an afternoon. We're now "that club with the drug culture" again. And the icing on the cake is if that one individual didnt selfishly put himself above his club there is a very real chance that our season would be alive right now.

Back to square 1 in 2020. Disappointed isnt a strong enough word.

Got smashed around the ground ball and didn't take advantage of NN winning the tap.

We really need more contested ball winners,

Redden/Shuey/Yeo/NN the only ones through the middle with any physical presence or who can tackle

Forward line no pressure,

Small forwards did nothing

Half the team had 1 or 0 tackles, that's a pretty inexcusable statistic.

We need to put games into Foley, O'Neil, Ainsworth. Midfield needs a reboot, Shuey etc wont last forever. Need to build depth.
