Just hope Preston/Northen Bullants can survive on their own in the VFL if we decided to split up with them, given their history in the old VFA.
Sadly I'm not confident they ca.ln.
Coburg has done well to this point and will hopefully turn the corner but it would be an up hill battle for Preston.

Is miles ahead of Phillips, more ready to play over TDK, and more durable than MK?
Where are you getting your info from? He's played a total of one AFL game. Pretty much all Swans supporters either reckon he's not going to make it or the want him off their list.

I've never seen him, wouldn't know what he looks like. I just find though that statements such as those quoted above seem far more like projections and wishful thinking rather than objective analysis. Apologies in advance if I'm wrong.

Miles ahead of Phillips? I’m sorry I just don’t see that. Given the durability of our ruckmen i’m not averse to bringing him in, I just don’t think a guy who appeared well down the pecking order at the swans is someone who our list management is going to be worried about not being able to secure.
I guess this is probably the time when someone mentions Toby Nankervis

If people are seriously mad because Darcy Cameron wants to go to Collingwood (apparently) they need to calm down. He has played 1 senior game at the Swans, he was extremely low in the pecking order of rucks behind Naismith, Sinclair, McLean. When they were all injured they preferred to play Aliir in the ruck instead of Cameron ffs.

On our side of things we have Kreuzer (legend), TDK who is Kreuzer's heir over the next 10 years, then all we need is a somewhat capable backup ruck who will barely play unless the others are injured. Whether that be Phillips, Jacobs, Cameron, Casboult or some other rando we never hear of until trade week, we will be fine. It is not exactly high on our list of priorities.

Ellis is no chance again, adamant that he wants more than what was previously agreed upon in both years and salary. Club want nothing to do with him now

Stuff him. Blown his chance of staying in Melbourne then. Enjoy the Gold Coast.

Allir Allir too? Naismith is really average. Let’s agree to disagree, I really think you are massively overrating Cameron here. And no way Callum Sinclair ever gets a game before Matthew Kreuzer, you’ve got me stumped with that one.

With Naismith and Sinclair injured Sydney for the last part of the year were using the very undersized Hayden McLean as their number 1 ruck, with Allir as back up, and then Allir number 1 with Reid back up.

They also recruited 205cm Michael Knoll in the mid season draft, but he didn't debut.

Cameron had a PCL then a quad strain so missed a fair chunk of the year. He played the last 3 NEAFL games, but didn't get a league call up but that may have been due to being underdone.

When Cameron was injured in a NEAFL game earlier in the year they went with Joel Amartey who despite seeing himself more as a forward racked up 42 hitouts in that game.

.....and people are worried that having all of Kreuzer, Jacobs, Phillips and TDK will mean we have too many ruck options!

Would be a clear second choice at Collingwood behind Grundy so probably sees it as an upgrade to the current set up.

Have five ruck-men if we're so enamoured by them and don't trust our medicos, but..........

Do not play three or four ruck-men in the Northern Blues at the one time.
It makes a mess of structures and hinders proper development of not only the ruck-men, but the whole.

This. Who knows how Mason Cox is going to return. That kind of injury can often dent a player's subconscious mental state. It could take him a year of not getting hurt again to find his best again. In the meantime they'll have a capable backup to both he and Grundy. It's really smart list management by the Pies if they get this one over the line and it would hurt us.

Wouldnt really hurt us, for us he was purely depth.

We wouldn't do what collingwood are planning because we have so many tall forwards that they don't.
