Have five ruck-men if we're so enamoured by them and don't trust our medicos, but..........

Do not play three or four ruck-men in the Northern Blues at the one time.
It makes a mess of structures and hinders proper development of not only the ruck-men, but the whole.

Relying on Kreuzer getting through a year is something that would be beyond the greatest medicos. Phillips for that matter, or any ruck!

I understand the development argument, but they're are lists with more rucks than us, some the same, some less. Whose to say what is the ideal make up?

I also bow to those that see more of the NBs than I do, but I do think there is impatience with those that want TDK to emerge.

He played most the year as a 19 year old coming off a serious knee injury. Max Gawn doe example couldn't get a regular league game until he as 23. His time will come.

Rucks are the wicket keepers of AFL lists. I understand the negatives of too many, but I also don't want a repeat of eg. an Essesdon scenario of playing a Zac Clarke, or Richmond earlier in the year playing Chol/Balta or Geelong being slaughtered in the final by Grundy.

I like solid, competitive back up options.

4 is about right for the rucks. Coverage where needed but if all fit there needs to another pathway for the ruck to play elsewhere. Happy to play 2 in the VFL e.g. Flip / Lobbe off the bench last year or Flip / TDK bench & forward.

But what if the keeper can bat alright too...?

Not sure why people think Butler will be a walk up start in our team. Would need to seriously improve to push Gibbons out of the side.

I think with another pre season, and having seen he 'belongs' at this level, Gibbons hopefully transitions into more of midfielder.
Totally agree that he is in our best 22.

Ellis is no chance again, adamant that he wants more than what was previously agreed upon in both years and salary. Club want nothing to do with him now

Thank ****.

The bloke is a genuine panic merchant, and plays the kind of role you can develop a young player to perform to his standard.

Winning a premiership often does something to the psyche of a player, and when it comes to negotiations the ‘premiership player’ line gets trotted out to up his value.

Luckily we shouldn’t have this hurdle with Butler given his fluctuating form over the past few years.

I had a molar removed yesterday. It broke into three parts on extraction. I felt every forceful jolt as each part was extracted from my bottom jaw.

Are you awake now?
That’s..........

Horrid

I understand that managers and players want the best outcome (remuneration wise) but taking advantage of a situation and asking for overs on top of overs is ridiculous. This really shows their integrity and something that will be cancerous to our club. Bullet dodged...

Not sure why the lack of love for Gibbo. Will play more midfield next year (where he has played his career) is best 22 all day.

I don’t believe it’s hate, nowhere near it.
If we’re to bring in Papley and Martin alone, try and do our best 22. You’ll find players such as Ed or Gibbo miss out or at best are midfield rotations off the bench. It’s a bloody good situation to be in.

It was horrid. But nowhere near as bad as the pain I felt in the days leading to the extraction; that was excruciatingly horrid.
Was the operation at 2.30 ?

The club just need to tell him I started supporting Williamstown when his grandfather was captain-coach. This should make him choose us.

Papley's grandfather says you've shrunk in your old age, bigsizered....

Stuff him. Blown his chance of staying in Melbourne then. Enjoy the Gold Coast.
Or stay at the Tigers for how much? Wouldn't that be funny. I'd love to see it

Max, yes I saw him play

Yeah it's going to be a squeeze with 2 new faces.
Ins from rd 23 side: Doc, Charlie, Jones, Papley, Martin.
Outs: Daisy, Deluca, then it gets tougher - Kennedy?, LOB?, Cas?,

Getting Gibbons in is tough if we get both the Martin and Papley deals done. Definitely no room for the Eddie dream either.

Edit, also Marchbank to find a place for.
