Could round out an impressive ruck division.
Yep. Our six or seven rucks are gonna kick ar_se. Just kick it high.
Meh. As long as Laidley and the other coaching staff know WTF they are doing, I don't care.

I do have to wonder why another big man was needed. Let's hope we've pulled the right rein.
Picking him up means Petrie will never again go into the ruck and that alone is a huge positive as far as I am concerned.
Dean said during the week that most clubs have 4 ruckmen on their list and we have 3 and we would be drafting a ruckman late in the draft. So why are you surprised? Or is this just another bash North anytime you can post?
Also if we are looking to move Hale to a key forward position you don't want to have to end up moving him back into the ruck because of a lack of numbers in the position.
He will need to focus his footy now on playing the forward role, that being said if the team is getting rolled in the ruck then he should be moved into the ruck, players need to be versatile.
Too true. The other possibility is that Goldstein might not end up playing in the ruck. Form memory (probably totally wrong) Hale was initially thought to be a key forward, but then came through the ranks in the ruck. Drew was intially thought to be a ruckman, but it has (thankfully) not turned out that way. If Golstein is a big powerful unit, it's not beyond the realms that he might develop into a key forward down the track.
