So people are saying there is a direct correlation between Jack’s mental health and playing for Geelong. The 2 are mutually inclusive.
He can only be healthy and happy if he is playing for Geelong?

Not only that, but what's more- jack cannot be healthy and happy if we do ANYTHING to attempt to recoup something resembling his value as our best player and under contract.

Lucky cats eh?

Q

chances are you would know absolutely nothing about most of the posters you’re referring to
Not sure why you’d be bagging theses people.
I think forums are there for all types to have a chat and air their opinions. Perhaps you should start a forum where just your mates go and you can all pat each other on the back for being ITK

There is a phone box just around the corner....DH!

Just a reminder that we can want what's best for Jack's health and have compassion towards his situation, and also want the Club ensure we don't get taken advantage of in the trade with Geelong and are adequately compensated for a player of Jack's quality.

The two aren't mutually exclusive, and shaming anyone for wanting both situations to occur is unnecessary.

So wait a minute. If .....IF Morris is correct and Keith Nominates is and Martin goes to Carlton. THEN the doggies pick 12 goes to us? Right?..... because according to the doggies intruders it was going to be used in other trades.

Please don’t tell us it’s you.....😳😉

There was talk last year of possible PP picks for clubs who have missed the finals for a long period. Besides the Suns, that’s us isn’t it? Wonder what happened to that. Added in our issues with Paddy, Robbo, Steven, Stevens, Longer etc etc. Wonder why talk of this has died?
And Carlton has been longer than us.

He's struggling with his mental health and wants to be with his family in Lorne.

He can't do that and play at St Kilda.

Understood- so we come to the party and do him a massive favour and allow him to break his contract when we get even a halfway decent offer from geelong.

That is us being bloody legends about the whole situation, in recognition of his issues and the fact that we love the bloke and what he's done for us.

Gift wrapping him to a rival club for practically nothing is not us doing right by jack.
That is us doing right by geelong.

Just a thought
Ratts gets us Hill, Roughy and Rath
Lade gets us Ryder and maybe Gray
Satan gets us Hanners who maybe gets us Jones
Gallagher gets Wilkie and maybe Keath
Ming probably gets us Bing and maybe Constable

Do I see the hand of the Prez in this?
Coz there's a clever bugger in there playing clever games and that really isn't a StKilda thing

Must be the discount we get on those “premium listings” on seek, probably got a badge that says “employer of choice” thrown in too...

Carlton played finals in 2013

same as we did to Cripps back to WC, 1st rnd pick for pick 40 something and a 2 pick upgrade of another 3rd rnd pick, * I cant believe that happened

I get both sides of the debate. And I hope that both clubs do the best by Jack. But that means both clubs have to come to the table.
If we were to send Jack to the Cats for a 3rd rounder and still have to pay part of his contract then the only club coming to the table is us.
The Cats have been quite happy to take players due to compassionate reason. But when that is the reverse - see Kelly - then they have baulked and that is their right. But having kids is hard enough, having 1 and possibly 2 on the spectrum would put a massive strain on any family.

That's not to say we go hard like them. Far from it. But we also have to look out for both Jacks and the clubs interests. And unfortunately that is not such a black and white scenario.
Well said

And now has the formal qualifications to match. Let's see him put all that experience, study and knowledge to good use. Solid citizen, club great and now not just another footballer who thinks he's an expert just because he played. The antithesis of Ben Dixon.
What qualifications does he have,
