Plenty of passengers unfortunately.

Noble(Negative player rating to go with his donut last week, probably the worst finals series statistically of all time), Sidebottom(I'd hope that he had the flu because that was one of his worst, for a big game specialist he's adding up a few bad ones), Adams(12 clangers, yeah), WHE(zero impact), Mihocek(Normally Mr Consistent, Mr Non Existent today), Brown(Tried hard but did nothing significant), Phillips(a few cheap sideways kicks that's all) and Pendles(not the worst but well held).

Noble isn’t any different to Murray. Quick but turns it over a lot.

Varcoe would’ve given far more than Brown. At least Varcoe would’ve provided some hardness

This is just a numbers game with too many concessions gifted to a start up team with no supporters. Its not good for football. I was shocked by the absolute class you guys demonstrated last year and wanted you to win today. That's in stark contrast to Richmond and Geelong supporters who dont get it. GWS dont have supporters and thst is a black mark for next weekend. Sad.

51 pages about an opposition player getting suspended on our board this week.

To all you arrogant Pies supporters that thought this week was just going to fall in our lap.......I hope you enjoyed that game.

I just got home and I am still livid...........absolutely pathetic performance tonight.
What about our players who thought this week was going to fall into their lap? Three quarters of pea hearted performance from 16-18 of the 22

It was never our year this year, that loss to Geelong in Round 1, Nearly losing to Carlton and losing to Fremantle along with the beltings in the mid season summed it up perfectly for us.

If we can’t take our chances we cant win. But s**t umpiring sums it up for us.

Just have to admit, It’s us against the world.

Good luck next year boys, going to be a hard few days ahead.
You could point out similar losses like our ones to Freo, North etc for every other top 6 or so teams. Richmond, GWS, West Coast, Brisbane all had some fairly embarassing losses throughout the year - hence there being 1 game between 1st-4th

s**t umpiring does not sum it up for us. Weak to blame it on that, because if we had of SHOWED UP the umpires would be irrelevant.

That being said, those umpires should never umpire again. Horrible decisions and non decisions both for and against Both teams. They honestly seemed like they did not know how to umpire.

Whoever is in charge of the stoppages and midfield needs to be replaced. We consistently get destroyed in the clearances and are set up terribly. Sour end to the season but we got what we deserved.

All year we have had periods where we have been smashed in clearances, especially centre clearances. Beyond comprehension that Grundy can dominate so much and we don’t take advantage of it

In my view it's way more devastating to play for 3 quarters like that in a grand final against Richmond and losing than it is to play in a prelim against the giants and lose by 4 points. We wouldn't have won next week anyway, not playing like the first 3 quarters.

I'm disappointed.. bitterly disappointed.

But they had every right to wave the white flag in the last quarter and the boys nearly pulled it off.

I'm ******* pissed with that 3rd quarter, but that 4th was a thing of beauty.

Adams left foot snap doesn't hit the woodwork and we were almost in another Granny.

Proud of the season we had, will go to bed a shattered man but I think we can keep our heads held reasonably high.

Another year, another ******* wasted year
Starting to lose confidence with our boys. Have a feeling there’s a drought on our hands, hope I’m wrong, usually am. 10 years without a cup and counting. Nearly losing to Carlton and those beltings mid season summed our wasted year up. At least we won’t be suffering next week, but we still have to suffer today.

It hurts but visibly we had no business progressing through. A lot of stuff to clear up and improve on for 2020.

Forget what your opinions are of Richmond and their supporters. For the sake of the integrity of the game, back the Tigers next Saturday.

For the sake of the integrity of the game, you should back GWS.

Richmond will win off the back of Lynch and free agency. It’s a destruction of loyalty in the game (the rule).

We have no-one to blame but ourselves. The first 3 quarters were very ordinary.

Ironically, while we have a small forward line, we are nowhere near as dangerous as we are when conditions are dry.

Anyway, the list needs some work. We desperately need a tall marking forward.

Midfield is missing some class.
I reckon Sier would have been better than Wills today. Wills seems to spend far too much time dropping to the ground. Sier stands up in the tackle and is better at getting the ball out, while Wills holds it in.

We need to make some bold decisions and make some big plays.
I’d be putting Phillips out there to see what we can get.
Beams was recruited for today. What a waste (I know it’s not his fault and he has issues to deal with, I’m just commenting on the needs of the team and the fact we could be locked in for 4 years which may restrict us in trading terms).
Treloar isn’t the answer. Can’t remember the last time he used his pace to explode out of congestion. We need that type of midfielder.

Overall the midfield mix needs work. Grundy is so dominant, yet our clearance work is not great. Do we review our midfield coach?

Anyway, if the Pies are to go better and challenge, we can’t do so with the same team. Probably a couple of the right types and off we go.

I love Ben Reid, and so proud of him as a Premiership player and 150 gamer, but geez that missed goal was a big big miss. Not that it was the single reason or anything, but .... man, what could have been, thats all.

Not our day in so many ways.

Terrible kick for goal. Big swing foot from left to right. Never feel assured when he has a shot for goal, from any distance. Almost missed that first one when he was dead in front

I can’t understand it either. Our mids are so flat footed that when they take possession of the ball they are under immense pressure which leads to poor forward entries. Contrast that to our opponents who are always moving which gives them clean disposal out of congestion and higher quality entries. All I can say is that our defence has been immense all season.

What I was saying about s**t umpiring was against Freo and tonight’s game. Disgusting umpiring and the AFL should be ashamed, which they won’t be because their “golden childs“ are through to the grand final.

Chris Scott copped a bit of flack for saying richmond 2018 is better than 2019. His opinion I guess.
But i reckon pies of 2018 were better than 2019 as well. I think we went backwards a bit all season.

For 2020 we need a new midfield & stoppage coach. There is a fair chance we are going to need a new backline coach with Longmuir being hunted @ freo.

Where do we start..
1. Grundy was mauled by Mumford. Mumford was roving and winning Grundys taps. No point in having a dominant ruckman when he delivers fairy taps to the opposition.
2. Noble. I mean really. This guy is VFL standard. He should have played a max of 2 games when we were at our most vulnerable.
3. Varcoe should request a trade. Treated disgustingly from the coaches this year.
4. The whole “we will back our system“ attitude stinks. We rate ourselves too highly.
Tbe polar preparation of each club was telling.
Cameron had said he spent the entire week figuring out how to bring down Collingwood. Pendles said they would maybe spend 30 minutes on Friday looking at GWS. You could tell.

We won’t ever win a clutch final with this list and coaching staff.
