Game Day Richmond v Williamstown GRAND FINAL Sunday 22/9 @ Ikon Park

Won’t be popular post, umpiring not great but neither was Tiger discipline.
Our discipline was woeful, but the umpires were basically playing slingshot footy for Williamstown, giving them repeat entries that way. Up until the end of the third we were just being undisciplined and making unnecessary contact but the 4th quarter was ridiculous. It felt like we were going to get a free kick against anytime we touched them anywhere around the ground.

I am glad we won because I would have felt very down by it if we lost.

We dodged a bullet, we got lucky, we were the better side allday but our fwd line was a disaster, no tall fwds leading up the ground, 2 missed shots inside 50 in the last minutes saved us...

Well done tigers you were the best team all year even if you played poorly last game

Best were Morris, Picket, RCD and CCJ, duds were Menadue and Moore

Butler is a dead set waste and he can go to the blues and Menadue is a bloke with pace and nothing else wont make it

The RFC got it right pulling out the right 2 players as apart from Pickett no one else is good enough or fit (Stack) enough for AFL.

CCJ will be a gun when he fills out.....

1 down, well done bring on the plastics

Menadue was influential in getting to the 5 goal to nothing start

i agree he is light and a bit soft but he has a lot of upside in a Will Hoskin Elliot kind of way

The media and commentators are gutless. Anyone with two eyes could clearly see that the umpires (particularly number 12) were doing everything they could to get Williamstown over the line. Yet they cop no scrunity whatsoever for their blatant cheating! They fully deserve to be held accountable for their actions. Trying to rig and match fix a sport to ensure that one team gets the victory is unacceptable. Yet the gutless commentators simply ignore the facts and make excuses for the corrupt umpires. An utter disgrace

Gritty win well done to Flea and the team. Sounds like umpiring was atrocious. Watched the sanfl granny and umpiring was how it should be. Only pay the obvious ones. Makes it more of a scrap but umpiring has no bearing on game. Good times with 2 Tiger flags. One more to go.

Watching the early stages with Meese moving CCJ around with ease shows how much work CCJ still has to go to get AFL ready.

Think I’ve said it 3 times already in this thread and plenty of others have said it as well but geez stevie Morris was huge today don’t reckon he’s played a more valuable game for the club.

Pickett really only player that pushed his case for selection. RCD and CJ were excellent but aren’t in calculations and if Stack is selected it’ll be on reputation not on his performance.
