He’s contracted so they wouldn’t need to. Wait till halfway through next year to determine whether he can actually put more than 1 year together.

It’s a bit risk reward. If he shows he can do it again - yeah worth 750k- 800k
If he shows he’s not over injuries - that plummets.
He’s wanting to get ahead of the gam, secure long term guaranteed money and make good on his injury free year.

I can’t see Adelaide trading him this year unless he demands out or they are offered a stupid overs figure (like these pick 1 suggestions)

1st choice defenders are expensive so we have taller players in talia Hartigan Kpp then doedee and Kelly of similar height

Keath has shown a lot in his limited 20 games but with his contract demands they can't be met

Considering we have Smith laird brown in that backline

Enough $$$ spent there I would rather more be spent in the mid and up forward

I would be throwing some serious coin after luko and with fog could be developed into an awesome two that will take 3 years before the good results come that's all

I have heard B Crouch is definitely happening on $900k for 5 years. I dare say with all the exists at the Crows they are positioning themselves to target Lukosious/Rankine and or pick 1/2. Reckon some pick swaps and CEY will be involved.

But I'm sure those running the external review at the club will have recommendations on how we should trade

Logically it would be silly to trade him this year as next year he could clearly be a band one RFA and we also keep him for one more year on a relatively affordable salary

The only reason to trade is for pick 1/2 Or luko otherwise it makes no sense for Adelaide to do it

Conversally it would be silly for GC to get him with the fact he is an RFA next year

The risks Adelaide to finishes higher and we get less

GC go for him next year but more clubs line up for his services because he us free hit and he chooses to go home to Vic

Absolutely Crouch isn't worth a top 2 pick but it isn't always about what a player is worth it is about what assets the club trading them in has.

Now if GC tried to offer pick 14/15 for Crouch you'd say no as he is our best midfielder and in contract. So that would leave either their first two picks or a player.

I think it would be similar in a way to the Weller trade in which you have a highly regarded player wanting to be traded to GC so they would just have to get it done to make sure they get them.

But in saying all that I just can't see the Crows letting either Crouch go.

I agree they often get over/under valued based on what the team actually has to give.

But a 1 or 2 to move hands, would require a generational talent, neither Crouch is that. Combined, different story, but can't think of a comparable trade though.

We were playing Keath ahead of Hartigan prior to Doedee being injured.

Our backline containing Talia, Hartigan & Kelly lacks drive & led to poor number of inside 50m in our forward line.

Yep $900k with 5 years with his injury issues, pace and questionable disposal is a start the car kind of deal.

He resigns this year on a long term contract

He leaves this year and Adelaide agree on the fact they will get more than they would if he was a RFA (predicted on where we will finish)

He leaves as a RFA next year
