Types of players. Not even sure I’d put Wines in this bracket.

I think Sydney's posturing is more to do with throwing off Essendon than us. Think the swans would like to get Daniher without giving up 5 and 9.

Honestly....

I'd rather take Papley, Martin and Betts, who want to come and/or nominated than torpedo them for ANY of those elite mids. Serious.

We would have absolutely no chance of getting targets next year and probably the year after if we did. One elite mid won't get us to finals in 2020 or 2021.

We've only just started getting players wanting to come. Let's keep it that way.

I would absolutely take fistian tabacca but not sure we'd get him for a 1st. Fangus slaybraw would be gettable for a 1st. Plankton Bolivia would also need more than a 1st.

I'd say fistian more a chance to get with a first than Fangus, wasn't Fangus top 3 in the Brownlow last year? And Plankton is easy a first and second.

Exactly. Gibbs was different. ADELAIDE said he was coming to them. This is Paps himself nominating and we've been silent. It gets done surely unless Sydney come right out and say NO. Then that's our get out of jail free card. No harm no foul, we move on to other targets. Papley is pissed at Sydney, not us.
