A year long discussion which, according to his manager, didn’t involve discussion of terms. This seems no more than a club rejecting a player’s invitation, made through his manager, to treat that player with a formal offer. His manager‘s public response seems very unprofessional IMO.

Welcome back Eddie! He's got a few snags left in the old legs yet I feel! Wouldn't it be something if he, Murph and maybe Simmo can get a look at another finals opportunity together! ? With the young kids improving and maybe Papley and Martin to come I get the feeling the Eddie Murphy combo could be laughing alot in the next 2 seasons....what a dream!

If he was worth less than steak knives to Essendon they wouldn't be targeting him. Plenty of available rucks in the state leagues who can play half a dozen games a year. Therefore, they must see something valuable in him.
