NRL 2019 NRL Grand Final: Sydney Roosters v Canberra Raiders

So the AFL and NRL Grand Finals turn out to be fizzers; can't wait for the BBL to be decided by a wicket on a no-ball in the final over and complete the hat-trick, pun intended

So, just watched the replay and it should clearly of been last tackle call. Cummins singles 6 again, but is clearly corrected by the pocket ref where it is called last tackle.

It was a s**t way to end a grand final but the Raiders just had to score when Cronk was in the bin...

What's with the 'first time a team's gone back to back in a unified competition in 25 years' comments
Broncos went "back to back" in 1997-98 however 1997 was in the 10 team breakaway Super League so it doesn't count as a real "back to back". (Knights won the ARL Premiership that year).

I'm sure Roosters supporters were pretty annoyed when they first heard the changeover call too. Considering it seemed to bounce off a Raiders head. I guess you wouldn't have been complaining had you scored on the next set...

Had that happened and the call been wrong - which we still don't know, cos 9 hasn't actually analysed it - it would've "just" been a wrong decision in the heat of the game.

It wouldn't have been the ******* farce and the debacle that we ended up with. Wighton did everything right. He saw the 6 again, he acted on that, and he got ****ed.

As great a player as JT was, he really isn't cut out for being a tv commentator.
He’s the only one who had the balls to raise the issue.

Yeah, they have. It came off his head/shoulder. Was 5th tackle. And was called multiple times after the initial 6 again was called (took some time).

However the Raiders only scored once up to that point....no guarantee they would of done anything more even with an extra set.....best team still won. The game was gone when Leilua did not pass to his unmarked winger imo.

Of course it wouldn't, because it would have gone your way.

Don't give a fu** about these relatives.

Hey, at least we're getting the end of game celebrations these days in Melbourne (not sure where you are!). Wasn't that many years ago that we'd be watching repeats of Friends or the Big Bang Theory thirty seconds after the whistle had blown!
