Zero chance GCS trake a risk after last year's Brisbane trade backfired big time.
When is the draw released? I’d be pretty nervous if GC picks depend on where we finish. Might be the first Bottom 4 side to play all 8 finalists twice

Melbourne have pick 2, they would probably pick Martin in PSD

They've never spoken to him, are reportedly close to cap, don't have a need for him, and just signed Tomlinson who pretty much plays a similar role?

Haven't read through everything, but most likely scenario is that it is either Wines or B Crouch, IMO.

Crouch publicly testing the market. Surely it's him. Teague and Betts connection.

If it's bringing back Gibbs I'll be furious.

FFS the seven year thing was a clear reference to Grundy, can we please stop trying to solve a non-existent riddle?

I have just one, but with eight to spare, I am usually friendly, but I sometimes act like I don't care. What am I?

No way would Treloar leave the Pies - he loves it there and is integral to their midfield, culture and everything else. Bleeds black and white and couldn't be tighter with Buckley.

No way would Sloane leaves the Crows - he is their sole captain now and if he didn't want to be there anymore he would've stepped down like Tex did, getting himself ready for a move.

No way would Grundy leave to come to us this year - he is getting heat from Adelaide and he will not cross town for a few extra $$$ (that Eddie could match with a 3rd party agreement anyway). Collingwood would also not deal with us and if so, we wouldn't have the currency to land him.

The above 3 are an absolute pipe dream and next to zero chance of happening, I would've thought.

Relax. It'll be Crouch or a lad from Melbourne. I don't think it's any of the above 3, despite comments a while ago that we had early discussions with Grundy.

Key hint was they approached us. Crouch approached GCS. Very plausible it's him. But he doesn't fit the "hasn't been mentioned" criteria....

Do recall hearing we were pursuing Grundy to drive up his price and force out a Collingwood mid....

It wasn't here was it?

Turned out that the poster has no inside info.

7 years of bad luck......

Treloar is #7, moved to the filth in ‘17 because of “better prospects” than Richmond... Richmond win GF in ‘17...

Filth lose to GWS to get in GF, with Richmond. Treloar could have played for either side in this year’s GF. That’s pretty bad luck....
And was traded for 2 x Pick 7s

Just read Saints are going to pay Hill $900,000 a year, they are out of there tiny little minds.

I can understand overpaying players to come to you as free agents.

But overpaying in cash AND also paying full whack at the trade table for a contracted player.

Double OUCH.

Oh, just read he's been playing with a meniscus tear.....TRIPLE OUCH.

They don't want to admit their rebuild failed.

Rolling the dice big time.

They need to swing by Moorabbin and pick up Lethlean and co as well.

Not sure why they are half encouraging Josh Bruce to walk out on the club.

Unless they are very confident on trading for Ben King in addition to Max making it big.

Seems they are giving up a bird in the hand for two in the bush...

not only are they willingly letting Bruce walk, they’re now talking about deserving a high draft pick for him!

List of players recently traded for at least a 1st rounder

Chad Wingard
Lachie Neale
Jesse Hogan
Steven May
Dylan Shiel
Dayne Beams
Rory Lobb
Jake Lever
Bryce Gibbs
Charlie Cameron
Lachie Weller

Players traded for less than a 1st rounder

Will Setterfield
Marcus Adams
Dan Hannebery
Nic Newman
Adam Saad
Jack Watts
Nathan Wilson
Jake Stringer
Matt Kennedy

After you've looked at both lists, take 10 seconds to think about which group you would place Jack Martin in.....That's probably 9.5 seconds more than you need.....

Can you start taking October’s off and “volunteering” at Blues.

Not sure SOS needs much help - but “many hands make trades happen easier” or some crap like that........

Jabba73 and some others have been banging on about Levi for some time. Finally being able to play as a genuine 2nd string KPF/back up ruckman. Has also added KPD attributes

Don't be surprised if he outlasts Krooz. Serverely underrated.

I was blind.

One-trick pony, I said. Was useless beyond contested marking, I said.

Then he slimmed down and 2019 happened.

Now I feel like the guy that paid for a pizza night in bitcoin back in 2010....

Jeez I'd love it if it was Duncan from the cats. A genuine gun who is goes under the radar due to Selwood, danger, Ablett, etc... But he is such a good user of the footy, tackles and kicks goals.
Been begging for us to chase him for a couple of years.

Big fan

If they gave us their future second back.

Carlton get:

Jack Martin, pick 19

Gold Coast get:

Pick 18

I’d do that.
I know this post was meant in jest but
in all seriousness though, it could actually work out that way.

Lets say we finished in between 8-12th next year giving us pick 10-14.

Hypothetically we’d lose say pick 10-12 (hopefully) for Jack Martin and pick 19-21 depending on academy picks if there are any, and/or free agent compensation that may occur.

I think that’s a win for everyone, if not slightly skewed in our favour.

If this darn thread stopped moving so fast I could do a KohPhi style gif parade.

I’ll skim through and see what I can muster, just for a laugh 🙂
