Hey!

That's my girlfriend you're talking about!

If Dow does not improve his disposal he is going to be a player with so much talent in other areas that were totally wasted at the top level because of his inability to be able kick the ball well.

It would be a shame but blokes that cannot kick and turn the ball over by foot all the time often have short AFL life spans. He is still young though and hopefully he improves on it as he could be anything.

I have faith in our skills department to fix this flaw in his game.

Think the his draft comparison was to Dangerfield. I can actually see it.

Isn't Dow being personally trained by Diesel?

Anyway, kicking is a skill, with enough practice you'll inevitably improve. The thing about young players is as they build muscle/strength, it slightly alters their kicking action, it will take a while to adjust to.

Also noticed that a lot of Dow's disposals are from when he's running at full tilt, needs to slow up before kicking the ball to avoid shanks.

Let's be honest with ourselves, the main reason most of the ITK posters are giving us information is for the attention and back slapping they get from everyone here. Providing information to other supporters is usually secondary. Not saying it's bad or anything, just being realistic.
I think a few ITK posters here are doing it for the club to leak it to the media without giving a journo the opportunity to twist it.

True and i am not riding the kid off at all, but in saying that we as supporters need to see improvement in this area of his game very soon and hopefully we correct it. His confidence is shot every time he goes by foot and it makes him second guess himself causing errors as Paddy is always looking for the handball.

While kicking is a skill if you have been taught wrong from an early junior playing the game it can be VERY hard to correct when you are in your 20's playing at the highest level when the pressure factor is so much more intense as you just do not have the luxury of time in hand when you have the ball in the AFL.

I’m not entirely caught up on this thread but surely this mid who has approached us is attracted to playing under Teague? If so, would narrow it to Adelaide or West Coast right?
Kane Lambert played under Teague at the Northern Blues
