Makes sense to me with our current lack of rucks, particularly if Phillips leaves.

He's only 23, a physical type of ruckman. IMO could become a Toby Nankervis type...won't be a star ruck of the comp, but combative and good enough to get the job done.

Unlike Carlton, Sydney always seem to find hidden gems in drafts. That's one thing I hope to see in the next few years, for us to find a generally elite player for a pick anywhere from 40 onwards. The only high pick who as shown promise for us I would say is Tom Williamson.

Luke Parker is a very good player, tough on inside and can hit the scoreboard but a big fish or elite he ain’t....

Still averaging 27 disposals per game, and as you said is hitting the scoreboard.

Ranked by AFL stats as the 17th best player in the game currently, ahead of others that would be considered a big fish. I'd be rapt to get Parker.

I really, really like Parker but he seems to have slown down in recent times.

Seems like he could be one of those players who are cooked by 30...but that's just a guess from my observation.

For the record, Parker and his missus are right in the middle of building a duplex, of which they intend to sell one half and live in the other, so it would be mystifying if they were even considering moving. Next to no chance.
