If we land Pittonet, make no mistake, it's big news. Boy can play and would possibly displace Kruez by the end of the season. We're dangling a fair carrot in front of him money wise, as he was a fair chance to be number 1 at the hawks this year with McEvoy spending time down back. Has ten year ruck written all over him.

Sure, have you ever watched skit comedy?

Grew up watching The Two Ronnies, Monty Python, Full Frontal, Fast Forward, Not The 9 o'clock News, SNL.

Later on discovered Mitchell & Webb, Armstrong & Miller, The Sketch Show, Key & Peele and more.

A big fan, mostly of the British Variety. Preferably without a cheesy sitcom laugh track.

Well there goes my set up...

I'm not sure how much Hughes and Rogers actually negotiated with trades, I know Swann had a large role in that area. No doubt we were well off the pace previously though.

I think it's a period we would all like to forget..
(Bar Crippa), but I don't know if that was great foresight or just pot luck. I seem to remember reading we were keen on McCarthy, who went one pick earlier.

Not gonna lie. If we miss on Papley I'm going to be pretty disappointed.

If we only land Martin and Betts I think we wouldn't class that as a successful free agency and draft period. Failing to address our main needs. Esspecially when it sounds like we were up to ouy eyeballs in cogs and Papley nominated us.

Still fairly confident swans get him where he wants to go for a fair price... but very disappointed if we don't get it done.

We will get Papley. I’m pretty confident. Yeah they are playing hardball, but SOS will get it done. Papley will be important for us next year and SOS wants to keep his job. Will give overs for current success and will worry about the future later

Must not pay overs for anyone and more importantly do anything. Let Sydney then worry about Papley long distance relationship. Draft a small forward / mid kid, which there a couple at around pick 9 and keep building.
Get Martin and Betts, and play them forward with Cuningham.

That's a fair call. My comment was more around dodo as a whole, not just the Daniher situation.
I also think it takes a certain amount of ego to do this sort of role. SOS has it, Dodo and Bell have it.
Yet look at Justin Reid who jumps at shadows. Hughes and Roger's had no 'presence' about them at all and this showed with some of their trade debacles.

Now I'm not doubting anyone who does this role's knowledge. Footy clubs are too smart to have mugs running the show. But I believe a fair serve of self confidence, bordering on arrogance even is what sets the stallions apart from the teaser ponies.
I think this and you cant look at the trade in a vaccum there are so many more moves to be made not just this year but the years that follow and you want to have as many cards in your deck to be able to play with. Even if you get something backand there's nothing of interest to you around that pick of the draft or nobody you want to trade for you swap it to someone who does for a future draft pick and keep that card in your back pocket. Papley for 9 and nothing coming back wont appeal to SOS at all on gut feel.

50 pages ago, Ferris was onto something when he noticed Fish's Bruce Lee moves against the bulldogs & when he decked Fyfe. Sick of posters commenting on his frail physique he has set off to prove that the industry is rife with drug cheats. He paid a non club sanctioned visit to Tullamarine which resulted in controversy. Below is security footage of the incident.

Only my opinion and we are all allowed one.......
Jack Martin might have talent and he might have potential but 2019 in the bottom of the ladder team has shown where his football is actually at...perhaps he’s not happy playing up there and this has been reflected by his relegation to the NEAFL....his current status doesn’t warrant a first round pick.
The AFL, with their concessions to GC have allowed them to play some hardball with trading.
He’s uncontracted, they don’t really want him at the club now....play back harder SOS

I agree with all except the bold, they are upset with him leaving hence the hardball. They want him
