Daniher won't happen. Swans are too smart to blink at the last moment and cough up 2 firsts. Unlike Dodoro.

Grab him next year, rehabbed, fit, as a RFA.

Whilst I'd like to see Daniher fit, happy and healthy at the Swans playing good footy because I think he's an extraordinary talent - I would ALSO like to see Essendon hold him against his will and implode into in-fighting, angst and a graceless plummet down the ladder.

Give our first pick for Aaron Sandilands if we must, I just want something to happen. Being on the other side of the world, my only ability to see/talk Carlton is by hitting F5 constantly and after hitting it 74838383820374820363 times there has still been no change!

Given the scintillating speed of the NBN here in rural Vic, you'll be pleased to know you're refreshing faster than some of us here!

Same for all of us...northern or southern hemisphere

Get the trade done and both scenarios might still eventuate

Makes sense if Melbourne really want Weightman. But they'll be paying more for him than we will be paying for a contracted Papley....

Presumably if Weightman turns out as good as Papley, they'll be thrilled.

And this is why I will never understand those who think 9 is overs for Papley.

“You can have a gun small forward or take the mystery box.

What’s in the mystery box?

Who knows! Could even be that gun small forward you’ve been dying for!”

Just hope Melbourne don't offer up 8 for Papley....

Would be rare occurrence given Blues and Swans have been actively engaged on Papley for a week, and Papley himself is keen to get to the Blues. All noises from ITKs and commentators is Papley to Carlton will happen, albeit probably late in the piece. I'd say he'll be at Sydney or at Carlton, those are the only two realistic options.

Also told me that the AFL got in early with Ben King and have him a nice little “ambassadorial” kicker a la Coniglio to keep him at Gold Coast.

But we all would have already assumed that right.

Not sure if I buy that part of it but its possible. I think St Kilda realised that they couldn't get it all done this year without moving this years and next years picks. Their best chance of getting Ben will come after 2021 or 2022. They're happy for the Suns to develop him.

Or Hawthorn for a future 4th rounder

No, but it figures. It's one thing to rig it to make sure that they are competitive, it's another thing to try and make them a powerhouse at the expensive of other clubs' competitive ambitions.

Feel for McClure and Dal Santo - without doubt the most engaging panel on Trade Radio, and they've had to fill 3 hours of content a day with absolutely no trades being done while they were on air.

If true that most of these deals are now agreed to, but the AFL is stalling to pad out their telecast tomorrow night, then there is no doubt in my mind that they need to just cut the trade period right back.

Make it 4 days. Monday to Thursday.

Monday is the official presentation to clubs by the AFL, housekeeping, speed dating, media can talk about all the expected deals.
Tuesday can see some of the simple pick swaps and token player movements.
Wednesday the major pick swaps that will enable marquee trades, and the good-ordinary player trades.
Thursday is the big build-up to all the marquee trades dropping in the evening.

If they're going to "manage" it, manage it properly and make it 4 days of activity instead of almost 8 days of dead air.
