Was taken out of our hands. Sydney said no once Daniher didn't happen. Unlike last year when Dodoro blinked in the final minutes and handed over your 2 first rounders.
Enjoy a subpar year from Daniher before he leaves as a RFA. Hopefully Sydney structure a nice 10 year $600k contract so you get a second rounder in compo

Hope SOS didn't stuff around trying to pay less than 9 overall. Rumours he was trying to get 25 back which sounds weird coz it cheapens the offer hugely.
Doubt it though. Probably just a simple matter of us not getting Joe, and Paps deal thus breaking down.

According to who? The news toady was that Sydney were firm on 9 + 25, and Essendon wanted a player in return. Deal was never going to get done today.

SOS said after the day was done they were told that if Daniher didn't get through, there was an 'extremely unlikely' chance Tom would get to Carlton.
Plough and Purple talking absolute non-sense that he looked 'shattered' and that this is a disaster for Carlton. SOS looked normal and spoke extremely pragmatically. What a shame we get to select a top 10 talent now. I'm gutted *biggest eye roll ever*.

Carlton identified a list hole, targetted their man, made an excellent offer, acted with integrity.

Sydney will be happy. Even if Papley wants out end of next year, he will have a ripping year for them to make sure his value doesn't drop, just like Tim Kelly.
