It’s not great obviously but there are seriously different levels of use for hoof filler. There is precautionary/almost cosmetic use which this sounds like it may be or there is necessary/repair use. Problem for us punters is we don’t get any more definite detail than it’s been used. I do still get a kick out of some people claiming it has no affect on horses performance. I mean the stats disagree and if it had no affect there would be no need to declare it.

I do remember the public perception of Cross Counter last year was he’d had a setback and would run in bandages, which turned people off him and he went around a massive result for the corps as a result despite still being right in the market.

Yep, we were also told Mer De Glace hadn’t settled in well. We know how what happened next...

Avilius money doesn't make much sense to me, been no rain all day and track condition is looking great.

Deserves to be close to the shortest price local - you know his best is good enough if he can produce it.

Agrees surely it’s the best local mind you they are Buckley’s chance of beating Lys

NO chance. Worse version and by worse version i mean far worse version of Lohnro that only gets a mile against anything good. IF by some miracle there was an actual flood. By flood i don't mean rain but god himself dumped the red sea on Mooney Valley and the track was a heavy 10 where 80% of the runners plug in that type of ground then sure he might win past a mile against good opposition.

Will get beat another 7 lengths again and that's if he's going as well as last year.

he is a poor mans Hartnell. Hartnell should have run in this and Avilius should have run in the CC. Its terrible placing by Godolphin. He has failed more than Kem the Cat in the good races in Melbourne. How many times can people fall for the hype.

He will be back in Sydney during the autumn beating up on the likes of Big Duke, Testashadow and Ace High and then he will be back! :$
