Interesting comments by Teague when asked about the game plan for next year.
Very David Parkin 1995 style with player empowerment and buy in by the sounds of it, I like the idea of getting the fundamentals and basics down pat first and then letting the game style evolve over pre season as long as we keep a strong team defence in place while we let our attacking prowess evolve over time. Also as long as he keeps a steady hand on the rudder and doesn’t let it get away from him.
Having Doc out there will certainly help if he is going to implement this style of coaching as you need strong and smart leaders on the field to really make it work and derive all the benefits from letting the players have a big say in future direction, with Doc, Cripps, Murph, Simmo, Kreus and Eddie I think it could work quite well as we have leaders on all lines to provide the input and implement the outcomes.

“It’s a little bit different, most clubs I have been at there’s probably been a game style handed to them at the start and then it evolves,” he said.
