It actually equates to 12 wins in 26 games. Which is equivalent to 10 wins in a 22 game season. That would have meant finishing 13th instead of 16th this year.

Richmond won the last 12 out of 12, which equates to winning every round of the season. Extrapolate that over the next 10 years because sporting results are never anything but linear and we win every flag until 2030.

Whilst it is extremely easy to take potshots at Silvagni, many people are forgetting just how bad our list was when he arrived. Malthouse & his cronies made an already bad list even worse with some inane decisions thus forcing Silvagni and his team to go the full Ground Zero approach when he arrived.

Feel free to re-assess where we are at this time next year, everything will be way more evident to you then.

I would imagine it has more to do with rivalry and now that Carlton could be on the up and up there is a reason to reignite it. There isn't much fun to be had if your rival is a wooden spoons constantly I would have thought.

Prepare for a deluge of nonsensical complaints about vicbias, home ground advantage, AFL assistance, cheating and god knows what else once Carlton do come good again though. West coast fans are licking their lips at the prospect of another vic club dragging themselves from the mud as it means they will have even more evidence of big bad vic controlled footy pulling strings to make sure they stay down.
