"Following further clinical testing and examination, Hugo Lloris has now undergone surgery on his left elbow.
The France goalkeeper dislocated his elbow and sustained ligament damage during our Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion last month.
Surgery was advised after further reviews by specialists found the elbow remained unstable.
Our Club captain remains on course to return to training in the early part of next year."

Gazzaniga is pretty good though and Lloris hasn't been great the last 12-18 months. I don't think Spurs lose a lot from this injury.

Liverpool should really expect to win this easily.

From what I've read Allison, VVD, Robertson and Alexander-Arnold are the best in the world in their respective positions. They have the best from three in the world. Henderson and Wijnaldum are two of the most underrated players in the world. Milner is the best free signing ever, Klopp is the best manager in the world, Ox has a whole thread devoted to him on BF and Origi is a club legend who inspired probably the strangest banner I've ever seen.

Anything less than a convincing win would be a bit of an embarrassment.

In all seriousness, I was still living in Australia when we last won at Anfield and I haven't lived in Australia for sixteen years.

It'll happen one day, but I don't have a lot of confidence it will be Sunday. Ederson potentially out worries me, Ox playing worries me.

Personally don't think either side will match last season's points so a loss won't be the end of the world. But we'd be making it hard for ourselves. A win though and I'd be pretty confident we could make up 3 points over the rest of the year.

My guess. A pretty bland 1-1.

I'd bank on a draw as well. Can't see Klopp setting the team up to go full on attacking with Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Henderson in the middle. Same goes for Pep, although he'd love to win and cut the gap to 3 points the reality is there is still 25 games to go after this one and we've ridden our luck a little over the last few weeks. We will drop points again at some point and I'm sure Pep knows that.

Now if there is a goal be it from a moment of brilliance or a mistake it'll open the game up obviously, but otherwise I think both managers are content not to lose this one.

Don't worry, walker seems an adequate back up.

Would love to see Ox start. In a purple patch of scoring form at present. Gini the other box to box mid. Rest of the team picks itself.

Can’t remember the last time one of these games was anything resembling bland. Regardless of score line, it’s almost always an entertaining, usually very high quality match. Certainly the game I look forward to the most when the fixture comes out.

How do you figure? Liverpool are on course for 107 points. They should comfortably win the league after City only finish on 86 points.

Both sides were machines last season.

This season, a lot more flaws.

Are you struggling with something?

Liverpool have won 10 matches and drawn 1 out of 11 league matches. They have 31 points from 33 maximum. Yes, they have dropped 2 points.

I'm struggling with understanding why you think they can't replicate what they did last season despite only dropping 2 points almost a third of the way through the season.

We are getting results, but we aren't playing as well as last season. A lot of wins have been close shaves. Cleansheets are hard to come by too.

Quite possible that you don't continue this form, but you can't really say at this stage that you aren't as good at picking up results as last year, because in fact you're better.
