Exactly why would there be a delay in announcing?Looks like our DFA has gone the same way as our mysterious 6th trade.
Oh well - only 19 days to the draft.

Maybe they are going to wait until after the draft so they know what we get in.Exactly why would there be a delay in announcing?
BJ Goddard was overrated IMHFO.
He was probably the best player in the comp for 2 years in 09/10 you peanut.

Damn , id kill to have another like him , the way he kicked the ball was sublimeFor all of Billings talent he is more comparable to what Heath Black offered us
Than even being close to what Goddard produced for us from 2008-2010!
Not to say he won't though in the future, he is still young!
And if it came down to a fight between Billings and Black
Billings would wipe the floor with the angry and moody but ultimately soft Black!
Besides big Footy Was there anything official from the club to say the would bring in DfaExactly why would there be a delay in announcing?
Great news on Clark. He’s going to be dangerous with a decent tank.My little bloke just did Little Aths at Dendy Park Brighton. The Saints doing time trials around Dendy Park Brighton. Didn’t recognise the first three placegetters. Hunter came 4th.
Gresh was miles behind everyone and was with fitness staff who were yelling at him to push hard.
He looked unfit and not like a midfielder...
He was puffing like a smoker running for the train.
Rowan Marshall also off the pace.

BUT BJ did X factor stuff...inspirational moments that would lift the intensity....sometimes in a defininig a period of years in terms of contributions the indefinable anti-data is where their weight becomes worthy of gold!!!I sort of agree he was not quite though. If he was overrated it was because he looked like his best was elite but his consistent output was just off that. After 2010 you expected him to be a superstar and he never really took that next step. He'll go down as an A grade excellent talent but not a champion. Over all that's disappointing because he had moments that suggested he could have been a great. To me he sits behind Rooey, Lenny, Milne, Dal as champions of that era and more alongside Joey and Sam Fisher as great players.
Lenny? Absolutely. Roo? Possibly. Chapman, Scarlett, Johnson, Ling? Hahaha, not even worth mentioning. Bartel? Comfortably. Ablett? Better GF performances than Ablett in all 3.Better then Lenny? Better then Roo? Better then Chapman? Scarlett? Bartel? Steve Johnson? Joel Selwood? Ablett? Ling even...
Just looking at the 09 Grand Final teams without looking at other clubs....
Massively overrated. Take off the rose colored glasses.
Amazing we were the better team that day looking at our lists. We should have won the 09 GF if not for our poor accuracy in front of goal in the first half.
Ps , you do know he had a lot of mental heath issues , he may have done some dumb things but he was not softFor all of Billings talent he is more comparable to what Heath Black offered us

My god, you've got to laugh. After having a bit of a giggle at the videos going on over the last few pages it got me thinking...if you showed Copernicus, Newton, and Einstein, the wonders of our present world what with the information at our fingertips with the internet...and they realised that basically 90% of it was dedicated to cat videos and pr0n...what would they think!? Answer: The boys are right, cats are cute, pr0n is great, and that Roma bloke is chubby
BJ was elite for maybe two years. Majority of his career he was A grade though. The 2010 finals series elevated him & Mike Sheehan predicted he’d be the best player in the comp in 2011. His best was only bettered by Roo & Lenny & lacked their consistency over a long period. I kind of think he was unfulfilled talent. But still top 5 for his era at the Saints.
Top 7 imo which shows how good we had it back then. Roo and Lenny; followed by Dal, BJ, Joey, Chips, Milne - hard to split those 5. We're a long way from having one player as good as any of those seven at their peaks.
Jeebus....
Ratts, if this is true, ride that slackass Gresham like a freakin Pony!

Or as Ratts said at 1st day of training that spots are up for grabs. If Gresham is still lacking fitness at this point in his career he can be a specialist forward. Give Hunter the opportunity to own a midfield spot.
Yea agree that group of 5 is difficult to split. I’d still probably go BJ ahead of the others. He was just so reliable & versatile. Rarely dropped a mark or missed a target & you could slot him just about anywhere. Looking back at the 09-10 grand finals I think it effected him the most. At 25-26 & entering his prime he looked like being the best player in the league but regressed from that point. Still a damn fine player though.
So who can we move onto now? Partington? Brown? Hirst? Keays? You can all relax about Masten now if it hasn’t already been said, he’s signed on with the Perth Demons at WAFL level.
