Goals: 0
Yabby medal votes: 0

Summary

The first selected of Hawthorn's 2018 national draftees, Koschitzke spent the season playing for Box Hill, spending time at both ends of the ground in his 13 games for the Hawks. The cousin of former St Kilda ruck-forward, Justin Koschitzke, Jacob suffered from a series of minor injuries that interrupted his development curve at Box Hill. However, the signs were promising from the 19 year old and Hawthorn will expect his development to continue on an upward trajectory in 2020.

How did he look as a forward at BHH?

Capable at points, took some strong marks, kicked some good goals. He's not overly quick or athletic so we'll see what happens in that space.
Yep his athleticism isn’t great from the little I’ve seen (more average). Seems he’s more the gorilla defender with strong contested marking. But will take him a few years (at least) to build the strength to play that role at afl level (if he even makes it) as is a lot harder than playing a 2nd mobile tall role. But training on Patton every week will help.
