Opinion 2020 player jumper numbers

I prefer players don't step into numbers of similar players retiring, it just brings comparisons. Let them make their own way.

I dont really like Patton getting 2 or Scrimshaw/Frost getting 14.

Then again I dont really mind. What am I doing, the sun is shining and I got work to do.

Clarko seems to view it the opposite these days

Here is my take on numbers...
4 kids get a jumper upgrade in Hanrahan, Greaves, Goulds & Cousins. I like greaves off the HBF as the only real sentimental pass on via position.
I think the kid looks a player with the time he seems to have along with his skill execution. A 2020 debut is coming with a strong off season in the gym I believe.

Scrim keeps his number.

Patton keeps his number & 44 get some game time.

Frost gets a reasonable number & the jumper some game time.

Harry Jones has a good number.

Ross & Kosi a bit stiff to not get a look in.

2 - Hanrahan (41) ...Roughhead
14 - Greaves (44) ... Birchall
25 - Cousins (46) ... Schoey
27 - Frost ...Pitto
30 - Goulds (45) ...Brand
32 ... (Mirra)
38... (Minchington)
39... (Mohr)
41... (Hanrahan) upgraded
42... (Miles)
44 - Patton (Greaves) upgraded
45... (Goulds) upgraded
46... (Cousins) upgraded

All for Lewis upgrading to number 2. Feels kore justifiable giving it to a kid who has been in the Hawks system since the draft.

Surely the club hasn’t sold many jumpers with number 8 yet.
My young bloke has the number 8 on the back of two jumpers.

Reckons the 8 looks like a snowman:oops:

can't see a rookie like Greaves getting an upgrade like that

has a non-debut rookie ever gotten a number upgrade

25 Previously worn by Ryan Schoenmakers (2009-2019)
27 Previously worn by Marc Pittonet (2019)
30 Previously worn by Kaiden Brand (2013-2019)
32 Previously worn by David Mirra (2018-2019)

39 Previously worn by Tim Mohr (2019)
42 Previously worn by Teia Miles (2015-2019)

New additions: Sam Frost, Jonathan Patton

Are some of the young players set for a lower number? Scrimshaw is an obvious one who could very well be given number 14. Cousins and Hanrahan could both move up as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lewis moved from 8 to number 2.

With more list changes to come some of the other potential vacant numbers that could become available; 25, 27, 28, 32, 38, 39 and 42.

2-Lewis
8-Hanrahan
14-Scrimshaw
25-Patton
27-Moore
30-Frost
32-Cousins
36-Hartley

Or just keep it simple

2-Patton
14-Scrimshaw
25-Frost
