The 32yo has returned to training and is looking svelt and fit. I believe he wants to kick as many goals as he can before he has to retire and I believe he can kick 1200 goals, he is currently 7th on 944 goals.

1. Tony Lockett (StK/Syd) - 1360
2. Gordon Coventry (Coll) - 1299
3. Jason Dunstall (Haw) - 1254
4. Doug Wade (Geel/NM) - 1057
5. Gary Ablett (Haw/Geel) - 1031
6. Jack Titus (Rich) - 970
7. Lance Franklin (Haw/Syd) - 944
8. Matthew Lloyd (Ess) - 926
9. Leigh Matthews (Haw) - 915
10. Peter McKenna (Coll/Carl) - 874

Won't catch Lockett but is good chance to finish in 4th.

Would be surprised if he managed to finish any higher, but it is the Bud so who knows.
Yeah he's too far from Lockett, I've changed thread title.

You would think as long as his body holds up for 2 more seasons he will finish 4th

Gets no where near 1200, lol ridiculous to think otherwise.

I say he finishes on 1085 goals. It will be his knee which gives in and ends a stellar career.

I'll just say over 1000 and be pleasantly surprised if he breaks that.

He'll finish on 999 goals.
Hopefully it’s a a Carlton flood in the last game of his retirement season that prevents the 1000th. Would be a poetic justice to that.

How many more years is he contracted for? And how many goals per year does he need to make it to lockett?
If he plays to 36 (it's the best case), he'll need to average more than 50 to get to 1200. I'd be surprised to see him finish higher than 4th.

The ranges in the poll are a bit off. Barring injury he will get to 1000, assuming he plays on the year after he should get to 1050. My guess is he finishes between 1050 and 1100.

Not sure how many years he has left but don't see him getting to 1200, but he's some outside chance to get above 1100 if he can play 3-4 more seasons of 18+ games each.
