China is a different story to India. Many wouldn't be allowed to study overseas (or indeed be granted a passport) if there was any doubt over their loyalties to the CCP. Not all would be from the wealthy classes with party contacts, but highly skewed that way.
Even more than India, where the urban lower-middle class can get their children educated and look for a better chance overseas.

I use to work and socialise with a number of different nationalities here as students.
I was trying to bang this one Indian broad. She just worked to hard, fo us to find a time, were both ready to go.
Daughter of an military officer,. Met him and moustache. She worked half days in the finance industry while getting relivant masters in that field, then worked 4 days a week in a 7 11. Rented a room cheap with an Indian family until She bought her own phuqing house.

Yep, 15 of us went, had a great time and nothing happened. All got smashed drunk and none of us got fleeced.
Bit like getting into fights, some people get in them, some people don't. Parties like this, some get fleeced, some don't.

So I've been given two promotions (including bump in pay) over the last 4 months
Questioning if its all worth it. I was enjoying work before the promotion, now it's kind like a ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh emotion.
Work place bullying is also a huge thing I've been experiencing from one person in particular over a sustained period of time. I've tried to weather the storm over the journey, but it has been rather difficult. Honestly thinking about just chucking it all in,

Whats the goal for them with the bullying ?

I don't really know
But I certainly am over it. I've gotten support from higher ups that know its happening... yet they let it keep happening. It needs to be stopped (granted it probably will and HR would spin it that the bully would win in a confrontation. And I say that despite keeping diary entries of incidents).

A lot of it is done when there's noone else around thus harder to prove. I had a witness to a recent incident where the bully attacked me verbally. The witness couldn't believe it.... I told them that if they were not around it would have been more vicious.
