List Mgmt. 2020: Death Riding Melbourne [NMFC owns MFC's 1st (#9) & 4th (#64) 2020 picks] - Keep Your Eye on the Red and the Blue

Thanks for that Giantroo......further to that,.....does that mean they go down a pick or two....apologies I've taken no notice of the points system....
Yes.

Each pick has a points value. Pick 1 (3000), etc . For Pick 1 you must have the full allocation of points (3000) to keep the pick even though you may have enough to cover pick 2 (2,517).

From there, you just minus the point deficit (265) and you get the table I've posted.

The way melbourne is going, they are not going to finish much higher than 5th..............from the bottom. The way they are snapping up the players is very much like us at the end of 2018, reeks of desperation with their topping up of anyone available where we have been much more precise with the bold trade of draft picks and swooping in to take bonar at the end, a player that is someone we miss desperately. Top pick ensured in 2020.

You know how there's that thing at Disneyland where you can ask a park worker to swap a Disney badge, and they are obliged to do the trade?

Some of these pick swaps feel a bit like that.

So Dees have effectively traded their 2020 1st pick, 2019 picks 26 and 50 for 2019 pick 10, 28 and Carlton's 2020 4th roumder (which will be 54-72)

So they’ve lost a 1st and gained a 1st, lost a 2nd and gained a 2nd, and lost 3rd and gained a 3rd?🤔

In summary, they have done * all.

I reckon some of these list mangers are paid by the trade.

I drove past Gosch's paddock yesterday and the Dee's were training. They looked slow and the balls were being sprayed all over the place. When you have to employ someone specifically to keep errant balls from hitting passing traffic on Punt road is doesn't show much faith in team skills.

With the way St Kilda and Melbourne has traded, it reeked of desperation and need for instant fix and change. But there is a saying, more you push for something more will it elude you. Failure in store for the burners.

Melbourne finished 2nd last. The club has a decent list on paper and need to start playing finals or be competitive. The desperation can pay off in a big way or see the club down the bottom season after season again.

Bottom feeder Victorian clubs like North, Melbourne and St Kilda need to take a chance. It is the only way for success in this AFL era. Collingwood are the perfect example. Took a massive chance with Buckley and players like Cox, Beams, Wells and Mayne. It hasn't worked out perfectly for those players, but they are back playing in finals.

Desperation never results in success......for us north we missed the chance to relocate, that's the only way for us to jump out of the vicious cycle. Now Tasmania will field their own club we will forever be the bottom of feedback in the big v.

You guys/girls really should delete this thread so that you don't look as silly as you could come end 2020. No need for apologies, we feel for our less talented cousins. Cheers.
