I reckon pme

If the first 12 fall that way (in whatever order), which seems within the bounds of reason, I could see the next 3 picks being;

13. Hawthorn - Kemp
14. Port - Stephens
15. Dogs - Serong

Would be an awesome outcome
Indeed its all possible just comes down to pickett and weightman going before us

If going by recent reports, and if the Fox Sports article is spot on with their whispers about putting heaps of work into Bergman and that Weightman is more a smoke screen (possibly makes sense, how many other draftees were publicly shown touring facilities?). It sounds like our current draft board is likely looking like this

1: Pickett
2: Bergman
3: Weightman
4: S**t, they are all gone. Lets go best available out of the sliders.

Say McAsey, Weightman, Pickett and Bergman are all gone at our pick which is still fairly possible. Who is most likely to slide? Will we go best available approach, or best available in position of need still?

Anyone want to take a guess who might be our next target in line? Given all the talk has been between the latter three

If Kemp is still on the board we take him, simples

Yeah, we have time to develop him. We can get a small forward with our second pick, there's some quality later on in the draft, and then we're fielding a really good team. I'm thinking how St Kilda drafted Max King high, and he missed all of this year but I fully expect him to be a total gun next year.

Imagine entering 2021 with two fresh first round draft picks in Kemp and marra.

Also does anyone know an accurate timeline of Kemps return to full training? Heard alot say he won't play at all next season but sure he could play in the later stages of the vfl season

Pretty much what you said in terms of his time frame. I think it was said that his ACL injury was pretty clean, as in there was no damage to the other ligaments in the knee, which is a huge plus, and the fact he is still young and body still developing. So his knee should be more stable than most ACL injuries where other ligaments suffer some kind of damage as well.

If all the media 'experts' and draft watchers are correct, it seems the probable outcome on Wednesday night is that we'll have the choice of any 2 of Kemp, Serong, Weightman, Pickett or Bergman.

I'd be comfortable with any of the above. Would be interested to hear if there are any that people really don't want and reasons why.

Of the 5 I'd say my order of preference would be Serong, Kemp, Bergman, Weightman, Pickett, but no real knock on any.

Is Bergman either of those?
Bergman has all the tools to be an effective Winger on the opposite wing to Hunter.
Good endurance and a great kick, his biggest query is low production. Feel with our handball happy style he could be the last link before launching deep at the forwards.

Think I read he should be able to resume around June/July next year. Get some games in at the back end of the season

Draft night: (The 100% theory)

Four Principals:
Trent Bianco- 40%
Miles Bergman- 30%
Cody Weightman- 20%
Kysaiah Pickett- 10%

Principals can be in any preference order, the club will have their own preference.

Part B: Monitor the sliders, have a pre-draft wish list and stick to it.

Later pick: Have a short list dependant on who you take at the first pick, along with two outliers from the
cheap seats with upside, Koopah Todd, Ben Kelly etc.

Upgrade Lachie Young or Roarke Smith just to piss people off. (Cigar Time)

I think Serong is really overrated in the draft (being hailed as a top 6 or so prospect), but if he slid to 13 then we'd be stupid not to take him.

Bergman, Weightman and Pickett all seem too early at Pick 13, but I wouldn't necessarily be "disappointed".

Kemp is the one I'd take above all others though. Top 3 or 4 prospect that can be had for a bargain price thanks to that knee injury
