The issue with Hartley was that even though he was quite useful as a defender we have Cale Hooker and Michael Hurley. I would of liked to keep him but he was bound to leave. Hawthorn offered 2 years and we offered 1.

Hartley treatment was the same way you treated Lewis.

We offered him a contract. He got a better offer elsewhere?

How dare you treat Lewis that way!

Lewy was contracted you ninny....We let him walk cause he got a 3 year deal from the Demons & then traded him accordingly.....Ditto Sammy Mitchell.

Hartley didn't want to play with you, but you offered him a contract at the last minute in order to scupper his desire to leave as a DFA - Out of spite.....Who on earth are you trying to fool with this utter nonsense, other than yourself & your own delusions.

We had an offer on the table for months. If he wanted to leave earlier he could have left during the free agency period due to the lifetime free agency rules or requested a trade.

It's ironic, you're asking the questions that you should be answering...

Not at all, it was all about the timing on this one.....You re-offered him a contract during the DFA period to scupper his intentions to leave....Intentionally & out of malice & fore-thought.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. The big bad Essendon people ruining Hawthorn's plans to pick up a fringe player

Or you know it could just be a timing issue like was reported. Hilarious how your stance has changed from Essendon probably just making it difficult for Hawthorn to knowing exactly how it played out :drunk:

Nah Essendon offered a contract to a player they didn't want cos they're evil.

I think he's been listening to the voices in his head again

Player welfare not their strong point.

It would appear to be off their radar entirely....As noted earlier; They haven't learnt a God-damn thing.
You need to stop listening to the voices in your head

More to do with the relevancy of the Bombers actions here sport.....But nice try.
Yes, offering a player we wanted to keep a contract. How dare we.

Keep digging champ.

They could indeed. he will be a good pickup for anybody I think.

The point is that he might not get to the club of his choosing because of your club's shenanigans....That should be pretty obvious.....Ill-will by any other name.

How dare we offer a contract to a player we wanted! Outrageous!

How so? Didn’t we offer him a contract?

I hope someone else does choose him, only due to you acting like such a petulant *head in here.

Of all the things i've seen people cry over the years on this site, this wins by a long shot. You are up in arms over a player you hope doesn't play a game for your seniors. * me man, you really are the epitome of a Hawks supporter, always ******* whinging.
