Paddy Dow is a good comparison. Explosive out of the middle but loves the contested ball. Had a great Nab Cup season and was considered one of the dominant midfielders by seasons end.

Has matched up well up on Rowell throughout his junior career with St Mary’s and yes comes from a mad Tiger family.

With his speed, aggression and vertical leap I wouldn't be averse to seeing Philp start an apprenticeship in the back pocket like Ratten.

He could be the run and carry we've been looking for.

He’s like his dad, no fuss, good footy brain and only says something when there’s a need for it.
