Haha when I was watching his highlights I was thinking "wow, he is basically like a much more talented version of Schulz".Lachie Schulz dislikes this
Not even close to his size, which is my major concern if Serong is to play mid....im aware the likes of Lachie Neale and Dion prestia can do it, but are they exceptions to the rule?Jack Ziebell is the player he plays like. Will be happy if he ends up like him
100% with you.Welcome Caleb, cant wait for you to make me look like an idiot come round 1 next year. You'll retire a Freo legend =)
Three goals on the run from outside 50 in his highlights. I like!I really dislike comparisons but I see a bit of Paul Chapman with him. Has the presence of mind to go for goals but also racks the ball up big time. Hands are really good and importantly his handling is very clean. No issues with his kicking style.
Wouldn’t be a Freo draft without the recruitment staff screwing it up though, so a lot of those criticisms have probably been validated. It wouldn't be a proper Freo draft without a high pick being written off before he's even had his first kick at training.
I love the Shitcatcher already.
I suspected he was kind of a very expensive trackpony for Young but he’s actually got some serious street cred.
Kid can play.
nah hope he brings the fire, freo have been missing that for a long time! Our new assistant was once an inside mid with short man syndrome - reckon Caleb might become a similar player (maybe not quite so fiery)
I heard the Robbie Gray comparison before watching all the highlights. Not sure I agree with it (or the Greene ones either) but definitely think he can play.
Don't see Elliot either. Neale a little bit.Jamie Elliott / Lachie Neale hybrid
Reckon Devon Smith would be his closest comparison.
Tackling machine, hard as a cat’s head, loves a goal when pushed forward, sub 180cm. Really looking forward to seeing what Caleb can do.
