Twelve months down the track I am confident that 2018 will be one of our best ever drafts. I love Chayce and Ned plus we have seen great improvement in Hamill and Sholl. To top it off both our rookies, Butt and Strachan look good.

Last year I think the “experts” rated our draft a C-:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

What?! I won’t have any of this nonsense!

I don't mind the Gollant gamble. Sure, it's a huge left-field pick but, let's face it, a lot of drafts are crapshoots after #50. In a weaker draft such as this one, it would be after #40. Overall, I think we've done well at a glance, we've filled a number of gaps in our side that we can build on.

James Matthews?
Maybe, looks like he's a possibility but I'd be taking an 18 year old line breaking, high leaping athletic raking kicking Brady Rowles as our first cab off the rank if still available. His game needs further development certainly but the base he has to work with could see him turn out a very special player I feel.

Butts in the rookie draft too.

I think this draft needs to be addressed from 2 angles. The players we got and the points we created for next year.

Has anyone got a complete summary of what we had originally to what we have now?

I hope we rookie 2 of Wareham Phillips O’Neill Peatling

Maybe O’Neill’s injury is no good though
That's what I'm thinking with O'Neil, big injury worries.

Unless he has unheralded attitude issues, it just blows my mind that he is a rookie draft prospect.

Yeah am a bit concerned about that now, baffles me why he’s still on the board otherwise

I’d probably go Phillips (X factor, high upside, goalkicker) and Shute (high production, classy ball use), nice mixture there of outside types, then we’ll probably grab Mathews

Here's the list of National Combine invitees that required at least 5 AFL clubs to nominate the player, so these were the guys the AFL clubs really rated enough to want another look at them. Still what look to be a few significant players available. I don't recall Liam Delahunty's name called?

They went high risk high reward
They are giving the effort a B and are happy they bought in some leading athletic marking forwards.

Seems like they're least excitied abut their 1st pick alot wanted Kemp.

This board lost their minds upon seeing their draft hand....reckon we finished off better than of the 2

We have 2 firsts 2 seconds and 2 thirds next year, thry have 0 firsts and 3 seconds

No, he said best performed from the National Championships

No he actually said, and I quote, "and to get South Australia's best midfielder, who's a ripping lad, our supporters are going to love Harry"

Later he said he was best performed at the Nationals
