I for one find the mid pick interviews and player stories enthralling and the media in general is riveting stuff. I will watch a replay tomorrow just for fun

The problem is when you're hunting for specific needs.... the mid you want is gone.... do you go next available best mid or do you pick up that slider fwd.... live trading also changes things a fair bit.... someone is available you didn't expect in a range you can trade up to.... you do it, if it was all pre-determined based on a list of picks, that opportunity isn't there...

Just once I'd love to hear from the draft experts, rather than that each player is an out and out star, instead hearing "Wow, gee that's a huge reach from [insert team name], I don't rate this player much at all and there's certainly better talent still available." Might be cruel, but damn would it be more entertaining.

Listen to road to the draft with Adrian Caruso from the Giants whilst obviously it’s before the draft but he still goes through decisions made in last years and why they passed on some very very good listen refreshing

To me, Leo seems like a speculative "if he works out it's a bonus" type pick, whereas we had put a lot of work into Biggie and he is a versatile player.

Probably live to regret not grabbing him BUT i guess business is business and you cant expect everything when we dont get handed picks on a platter like if we lived up north or something!

Don't rate him? Plus we have excess tall defenders.

As for Leo, i don't particularly love the selection however it's nice we have chosen skills on a pick for once. It's now up to the staff to develop him further. Pre 2018 it would be a sure fail, guaranteed Siposs V2. Now i am quietly confident we can get it right.

hey is GRINGO on board tonight i'd like to hear his early take on this...

Byrnes I wanted so big tick at that pick. Could have gone early 20s. My mate who's a big draft watcher put me on to him earlier in the year. Said he's perfect for us, Sandy Dragon, fast and capable. I haven't seen much of him but on reputation I took him up as my boy. Comparisions to Jack Steven as a player are pretty appealing too.

Connolly I can't say I have taken notice of. His bio looks good though. Not a pressing need but players can change spots.

My players from this draft were Lachie Ash, Serong, Flanders, Pickett and Robertson. Freo killed it as they should with their picks and a free hit at Henry. Geelong did well, Goldy had a feast on high end talent and they will be good in a few years. Their talent pile is starting to look ominous finally. GWS have again ended up with 2 top 5 talents, Sydney got Elijah Taylor and Stephens who both look good, Dogs got Weightman who I really like too. Over all for what we had we did okay. I love pace and we stocked up this year.
