Doesn't matter what others think. We got who we wanted for nothing. We targeted him for nearly 2 years. He fills so many needs and has the talent. How it works out who really knows but to get him for nothing is a bonus

Up and down? Three rubbish games for 800k is all down.

Pretty sure that he polled brownlow votes in round 2 & 3 this season so the answer would be yes.
In fact in rounds 1 - 7 this year he averaged 21.4 touches per game and over 5 tackles per game.
No too shabby for free.

Jack Martin is a sublime footballer watch him glide at the G before 80k spectators come Rd1, synchronizing with Eddie Betts it will be dream ffor adoring footy fans.
These are the games talented youngsters yearn to play in, Jack has chosen to pursue center stage its his prerogative once unencumbered, out of contract.
Suns have had huge assurance , support and assistant from AFL more than once already, what more can the remainder of the competition do?

Well you are just assuming that Sharp, whom the Suns traded up for, will be a bust (and Cats were very keen on apparently)

Also that pick 11 will likely be bumped back at least 5 or 6 next spots next season with all the Academy picks/bids.

If Sharp can be a regular best 22 player next year for Gold Coast, I would say it was a worthwhile trade from their point of view, certainly it's much better than wasting a space on their list with another list clogger from another club like Corey Ellis etc

Not everyone is a winner.
Martin got ****ed around left in limbo when a sensible trade was knocked back by Suns over a month ago which did not allow him to move to his new club to be with a month earlier. It was stupid move by Gold Coast and the context of luxury gifts from AFL made up on spot was probably why Gold Coast got silly about it and Martin was put through being in limbo for over a month for no good reason.
