3 x Draft + 1 x Rookie

2 x fast mid
1 x small forward
1 x tall

Surely we package up 26 & 27 for something in the low teens or drop someone from the main list down to a rookie if allowed.

The quality of the list is fine. It just shows how we’ve been crippled by injury the last few years.

Replacing Thompson for round 1 is going to be the biggest challenge.

McKay, Durdin, Daw and EVW will need to really push it this pre-season.

Daw and EVW need to get some continuity into their bodies again, while McKay and Durdin need to step up and take their games to another level. No more coasting through games from those two. I want every training session to be about intensity.

EVW did his knee in rd 1 so you'd think he wouldn't be ready for the AFL for at least month of the season.

I am only posting a round 1 team so that I can come back and see how wrong I was.

Spoke to Ed at the Syd. Said he was travelling well and expects to be right by round 1. Whether he’s got enough pre-season to start in the seniors is a separate question I guess.
That's great news. I would imagine he'd probably be able to do enough straight line running to get his endurance but would miss out on a lot of match sim and contest work.

Yeah cant see Jasper missing. Was a genuine star last year.

Pittard is our best medium defender. He, Taz and Marley would be lock defenders every week based on how they finished up.
He's even better than JMac. #controversial
Ahern isn't going to make 5 goal saving 3rd or 4th up spoils every game.

Will be insulting to North fans if McDonald plays and lets be frank his only at the club because of his old man Pittard to play plus no room for Turner Taylor comes in and Hosie to come in for Wood.

This squad is far from set, starting with the key defensive posts. Majak Daw was good in 2018 before serious injuries sidelined him for all bar four VFL games this year, while Josh Walker joins as a delisted free agent. Sam Durdin is right in the thick of that race, Ben McKay will try to put himself back in it, and Jamie Macmillan is another option if the Roos prefer a different type. Ben Jacobs, Aaron Hall and Dom Tyson all had wretched 2019 campaigns for varying reasons. Jed Andersonand Bailey Scott could force their way in on pre-season form, and Will Walker (after a season out with injury), Paul Ahern, Tom Murphy, Kyron Hayden and Aiden Bonar are wildcards. Ed Vickers-Willis' ACL recovery leaves him out. – Marc McGowan

If they're all fit, I suspect this will be pretty close to the real thing; McDonald probably the one that might go out

Surely if fit Anderson has proven himself best 22 and doesn't need to "force his way in on form"?

I know he dropped off as season went on but so did quite a few others
