I was actually thinking this the other day. Give someone else the number 9, Burgoyne transcends the need for a number!

Pretty sure all new draftees (excl PSD) are given numbers in the back end of the list (late 30s / 40s) and in order of where picked. Traded players and Hartley will be given choice / lower number

Now they're just revealing the new numbers later and later. I hear in 2021 they're planning the announcements in Round 5.
