Basically; Catheter inserted through femoral artery and up to your heart. The electrical " nodes " that conduct the electrical activity and make your heart beat correctly ( think e.c.g. ) are mapped. Sometimes you can have " rougue " nodes that over-ride these and make your heart beat faster. These are then burnt out to stop them conducting and allow the real nodes to do their job.

It appears I might be having the same procedure done in the new year sometime.
But Larkey stated he has a small hole in his heart, was that correct?
Has he misunderstood the explanation of his specialist ?
I'm getting a 48 hr scan done (setting up for it today actually)
Docs have explained it's a simple procedure coming in from both legs, stimulating the heart electrically , watching the reaction then burning off something afterwards........all this whilst I'm awake (doped up obviously, but awake).
Any extra information would be appreciated.

Not unusual for adults to have very small holes between heart chambers, ASD or VSD depending on whether it is the upper or lower chambers. Usually found on a routine examination as an adult but has been there since birth without causing any problems.

Big holes in newborns are found quite quickly. Congenital heart defects can be quite complex but most repairable.

No, Souva has (had) Supra-Ventricular Tachycardia. Usually a defect in the insulating layer between ventricles and atria (an afferent pathway) that conducts electricity back up to the atrium instead of letting it peter out in the ventricles. So instead of the beat being regulated by the sinoatrial node it races thanks to the extra source of current. Usually it presents under fatigue or stress rather than being permanent. If it is prolonged you need to intervene to avoid damaging the heart muscle itself through cardiac ischaemia (undersupply of oxygen). I have it too, though I haven't had any significant episodes for 2-3 years.

The one in the pump shed would have been at least that old when the gear lug on the spindle cackled.

Nick, TT and Zurhaar are the players that have truly earned our expectations that they will have great years - injuries permitting. A lot of the other players I view with hope rather than full-on confidence. However, I can definitely see these guys improving. They all appear to have the necessary work ethic to push them ahead, without the various question marks that hang over some of our other great hopes.

A lot of the other players I view with hope rather than full-on confidence. However, I can definitely see these guys improving. Yes. However, BBB is mature and has more or less reached his capacity. The other three are on a steep upward curve. I had a horrible feeling about BBB when I heard about Atley and Ahern having knee complaints today. It strikes me that he has been very fortunate to avoid any serious knee issues since he arrived in the seniors. Given his knee history in his youth years and the “look” of him, I can’t help it thinking it’s only a matter of time before he succumbs. My fingers are well and truly crossed on that.
