Do you think you blokes will hit the draft hard over the next few seasons? Not much coming through there outside of Thomas and Larkey.

Do you not remember Cam Zurhaar destroying the Richmond backline?

The actual criticism is that none of Simpkin, Ahern, Dumont, LDU, Anderson, Bonar have put together an elite season yet, but there's still plenty coming through.

Pretty Strong, especially through the midfield. Smaller defenders the biggest weakness. All except Weightman have played at AFL level.

Keen to see how clubs youth shaping up

what is your clubs 25 and under best 22?

rule can’t be born before Jan 1 1994

B: EVW Durdin Crocker
HB: McDonald McKay Ahern
C: Dumont LDU Jed
HF: Garner Hosie Zurhaar
F: Thomas Larkey Turner
R: Xerri Simpkin Bonar
I: Comben Taylor Murphy Scott
Perez Mahony McGuinness Walker Hayden
Good thread. Dead at work, I’ll have a crack at Richmond. I endeavored to keep a similar structure to the 2019 side.

B: McIntosh Garthwaite Baker
HB: Vlastuin Balta Eggmolesse-Smith
C: Rioli Stack Short
HF: Castagna Chol Higgins
F: Dow Coleman-Jones Markov
R: Nankervis Ross Bolton
I: Soldo, Naish, Collier-Dawkins, Cumberland

9 premiership players remain which is great.

Missed out, Turner, Ralphsmith, Miller, Nyuon, Martin, Aarts, English
Ridley Zerk-Thatcher Saad
McKenna Francis redman
Merrett Parish Smith (Devon Smith was born in 1993.)
Langford Daniher Fantasia
Laverde stringer walla (likewise Walla.)
Draper mcgrath begley
Cutler Gleeson guelfi Snelling

Notable just how small that midfield is.... (indeed which is why I get frustrated when talls are overlooked.)
Salem Lever Hunt
Rivers OMac Hore
Langdon Oliver Brayshaw (such a good talker is Angus and is quite comfortable in front of camera.)
Petracca Weideman Pickett
Fritsch Petty Neal-Bullen
Jackson Harmes Viney
Chandler Lockhart Spargo Baker
Quiet here too, so here goes.

HB: Rotham Brander Cole
C: Sheed Kelly Ainsworth
HF: Venables Waterman Petrucelle
FF: Ryan Allen Rioli (Allen a captaincy smokey.)
R: Williams Duggan Brayshaw
Int: Foley Jamieson M O'Neill X O'Neill

All in the first 18 except Bailey Williams and Hamish Brayshaw have played AFL games, however I am really reaching with Brayshaw, Foley and the O'Neills because our midfield depth under 25 is pretty shallow at the moment (albeit Yeo and Ah Chee both only miss the cut off by under 3 months).

All players except E Smith and T Berry have played AFL already. No first year players included.

Strongest line up I've seen so far.

Their mids leave a bit to be desired other than McCluggage

rest looks good

Berry and Mathieson are decent depth imo and McCluggage is a freaking jet, huge fan of him.

Also highlights to me how impressive was that Brisbane made top 2 as many of their key drivers were under 25. Wonder how they'll go in 2020 with the weight of expectations and a tougher draw.

He kick a bag against us or something?

Simpkin, meh. Ahern has no defensive side to his game. Struggled to get a game for a below average side. Just an accumulator on his best days. Dumont is very vanilla and typical of North Melbourne. B grader at best. I recall North fans wanting to trade him at the end of the season as well. LDU is average. I don’t get the hype. What’s he ever done? Looks like a bust. Anderson is a bit of a plodder. Cracks in but has little talent. Bonar; there’s a reason why GWS were happy to piss him off cheaply. I’d be surprised if he makes it. Deer in the headlights, not to mention his injury concerns.

Seriously, you’d struggle to find many people outside of North Melbourne supporters that actually rate these guys. Thomas will be a star, I’ll give you that. Hopefully you can hang onto him.

Most named played senior footy last year as a result of most of our over 25s having never playing for us before or spending most of 2019 injured. King and Bytel are the only two that haven't, but I named them since they are both rated highly from their junior form and both have a lot of hype around them.

Overall, a good team. The strongest part is our key position players - would like another key forward but that could easily be Battle and one our our many key defenders replaces him.

This is the strongest line up listed so far IMO, based on the dominant midfield group. Defence is a little light on, but overall a pretty well rounded under 25 group.

And you get to add the highest rated key position player in the draft next year...
